I have a feeling that he signed with Top Rank because Valdez was dangled at him. That move moved another fight with LSC even further away.

I think Framps has to do something to get that fight i.e put on a good show vs a named opponent.
I can understand why LSC is looking beyond Carl - who needs to regain the Eye of the Tiger which he seems to have lost somewhere along the line in recent fights.

Lets not pretend that Cruz doesn't fight only bums. The first time he stepped up he lost. He doesn't want to go through that again so he's gone back to his steady stream of complete nobodies. It's safer for him.
