The main reason I love boxing is.........

It's the purest form of fighting between men.

No guns, no knives, no baseball bats, no brass knuckles, no 2 guys beating up on 1 dude, no sneak attacks... There's nothing but your fists and heart when you step into the ring.

I've known many hardened gang****ers over the years that have done plenty of dirt who go to a local boxing gym I live near to learn how to box. The trainers tell them at the door to leave their pistols at home. Some can't hack getting repeatedly hit in the face and outclassed, hurting their pride in the process, so they go back to their gang****ing ways, because it's more easy pull out a gun, but that's the cowards way.

Mayorga used to be a gang****er and it was fun watching him get his azz beat. If he was still gang****ing, no doubt he would have pulled out a pistol or knife after getting his face kicked in, but when you're in the ring, you're going to take your azz beatings. No weapons to pick up!

    Long live boxing!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

i'm compelled most i think by the terminal nature of boxing. there's really no other sport where the trajectory of a man's career, livelihood, and even his life are so obviously affected in a way that's easy to see and immediate. i get to see everything on the line and hanging by a thread.

when it's good, and i mean when the athletes are really up to snuff and the matchmaking is there, there is nothing like it. really, there is nothing like it.

Boxing at its best is a prime example of extreme violence and proper technique.

MMA has the violence but the technique is not up to par with boxing.

Outside of business and family, my main thing has always been Boxing. I love Boxing for all the reasons that others stated. Boxing is like a safe haven for me. When Im sad or depressed, or when there is a crisis, watching fights make me feel better.
No drugs can replace the high of anticipating for a big fight on the weekends. Ive ditched weddings and important gatherings just so that i wouldnt miss fights.

Im a boxing junkie, a hardcore boxing guy. I only watch boxing and no other sports. Maybe once in a blue moon I watch the World Series when LA team is on it but that’s about it. Im strictly a Boxing guy.

Both MMA and Boxing have their own skill sets that takes YEARS of training to Master just like Basketball and Football players have their own. I prefer Boxing but there's a ****load of technique that goes into Wrestling / Grappling / Jiu Jitsu.

                  Boxing saved my life.

When you ain’t training, somebody else is to kick your ass.

I still lacked discipline as a youth but boxing put me on the right track.

I love boxing and owe it everything.
F balls and sticks and relying on others or worse, losing because of others.

I got sick of being at the mercy of others so boxing became my sport.
