It didn't look good that Vargas recently lost a clear decision to aging veteran Luis Collazo, who Khan soundly defeated a few years ago.

Khan wiped the floor with Collazo yet was put on the canvas by vargas and Vargas was dominated by Collazo, funny how boxing plays out lol

Smaller fighters burnout way quicker and considering Khan has been on the scene since a 17 year old no wonder he's looking more and more shot with each fight.

Khan vs Collazo results: Amir Khan wins ugly but eventful fight, Mayweather next?

Nobody will call it pretty, but it was effective. Amir Khan knocked Luis Collazo down three times in a roughhouse fight tonight in Las Vegas, winning the fight on scores of 117-106, 119-104, and 119-104. BLH had it 115-108 for Khan.

Collazo (35-6, 18 KO) went down for the first time in round four, and was down twice in round 10, at which point he looked mentally defeated, reacting with pure frustration. The frustration was understandable, as Khan (29-3, 18 KO) pushed Collazo's head down and held constantly during the fight, the most noticeable stylistic change from his recent performances.

Referee Vic Drakulich's performance was lousy, but it was clear after a few rounds what the tone of the fight was going to be. Collazo just never really adjusted, allowing Khan to get into his head as a result, as Amir just kept doing what was working. In the ninth round, Collazo lost a point on a low blow, and Khan finally lost a point later in the round for holding Collazo's head.

While it wasn't the most scintillating performance, and the holding certainly wasn't attractive, it was a very good fight from Khan, and he probably did earn himself the front-runner's spot to face Floyd Mayweather later this year or next year.

Khan just might as well face it that he has a glass jaw and it's not going to get any better the longer he fights. It's only going to get worse.

i only wish khan fought 3 or 4 times a year so i get to laugh more often
