Very good advice, that guy should have walked away irrespective of what was said to his companion. You know you were outnumbered, and most of these cowards would only swing when they know they outnumber you. They would only talk when they know they have back up. So in that situation no need to try and play the tough guy in front of the ladies, move it on and avoid confrontation which those scums were seeking.

I would of just put my arm around the woman, and carried on doing whatever I was doing 'I may have even completely ignored the men, and just asked her if she was ok' Very calm and relax. The only time you have to defend yourself, is when attacked! I honestly don't think those two boxers would of attacked the man if he would not of confronted them, that is exactly what their primitive ego's was waiting for and he fell for it unfortunately.
