Im no business expert but i dont understand how they are affording to offer these fighters ridiculous contracts. Surely there cant be that many subscribers either?

You don't have to a business expert. All you need to know is how to add & subtract to see that these numbers don't add up.

Either these numbers they're releasing are fake or if the numbers are real they're losing a lot more money than they're taking in. $70+ mil a year for 2 Canelo fights. Need 3 1/2 million US subs to cover just his purse. ESPN plus hasn't hitv those numbers yet & they're far ahead of DAZN.

To me a move like this is something to make the company look better to get taken out by one of the above brands.

This right here. But their infrastructure isn't better than any of the companies you named & their data business is the most attractive business. The question is where will these other fighters be in 2 years & who'll buy out their contracts.

Serious question - why would you conflate lack of class and civility with a group of people whose only real aim is to live together as a cohesive group?

Yet you seem to be struggling with adding and subtracting.

$70mil a year for 2 Canelo fights does not require 3 1/2 million US subs to cover just his purse.

You seem to be working on the premise that somebody would sign up for the month to watch Canelo than cancel in order to get to the figure of 3 1/2 million US subs... but even if people are doing that it's 2 fights in a year and thus people would be subscribed for 2 months which is $40 which comes out at 1.75million subs.

Even then that isn't that realistic because the business model is to get people subscribed permanently, which costs $100 a year so then you are only talking 700k subs. Feel free to argue that nobody would sign up for the whole year and truthfully at the moment you would probably be right but that does not change that is what their aim is.

Ie - If you hate these people so much and view them as a threat to you, and all they want to do is live separate to you - why do you have a problem with that?
