Again, Canelo didn't get his Multi-deal in a lump sum, just like the highest paid athletes don't get theirs in a lump sum. The total amount looks good in headlines, but its scattered out until their deal ends, a guarantee, all the fighter has to do is deliver.

DAZN USA for the month of May isn't just Canelo Alvarez. If 800K buyers want to watch Canelo vs Jacobs, it's either they look at the year plan or purchase it at $20 for the month of May.

    $100 x 800K = $80,000,000 for May, just on a Canelo Jacobs purchase

    or

    $20 x 1.9 million buys = $38,000,000

    NOW,

here's the best part. There's a big likelihood that DAZN USA will get BOTH of those types of buyers! I predict Canelo vs Jacobs purchases will be about $100,000,000

Keep in mind, people are purchasing every day, and APril is a hot month. DAZN about to get THug Life on Showtime and ESPN+
Thanks for the explanation. I never said that the money wasn't there in boxing. Based on the overall popularity of boxing to the general public (especially in North America), it just SEEMS like this kind of money is not in boxing. That's all I was trying to say.
