Really?? That's kind of up to the fighter and his team don't you think? When Ray Leonard fought Hagler he had a secret training camp where he fought full fights. He didn't get into an all out war with the top fighters in the division prior to taking on Hagler. Why? He didn't want to jeopardize the Hagler fight by getting cut, breaking his hand etc. or losing. This fight will keep Golovkin in shape and work on what he did wrong in the last fight. When he gets through this successfully he can take a short time off and then get back into training for the rematch hopefully ASAP. I really don't give a rat's ass that you live in a fantasy world.
when someone confuses sparring with real fights, its to do with GGG.

    • GGG wanted to drag undersized Adams to 164 but somehow people criticize Canelo for contemplating moving up against Kovalev?

        That makes zero sense.

If Canelo want to fight Kovalev at 175 fine. Kovalev had mentioned prior the this talk about Canelo that he was having trouble making 175. It's an obvious ploy by Canelo to weight drain him. Golovkin got criticized by a lot of his fans for fighting Rolls as he should and Rolls had previously fought at 164 and 168. Undersized?? Adams has been a Middleweight for his whole career or the majority of it. There was no talk that I recall about 164.

          • Oh, for fuck's sake. Is he really gonna fight straight cans until Canelo decides to face him? He'd be better off fighting CharMall, who just beat Adams. CharMall hasn't been looking too good lately and the WBC world title would be on the line.

Adams said the fight didn't happen because GGG insisted on dragging him up.
