Nigel Benn crying tears over Gerald McClellan

Saddest moment I have ever seen in boxing history. Benn truly was broken up. I know these two fighters were evenly matched and it was a freak accident, but seeing stuff like this is why I am not a fan of naturally bigger fighters draining weight making the limit for lower divisions to fight naturally smaller fighters. Good man, Benn. Shame & Forgiveness. Strength & Honor.

This is why Wilder and other boxers should refrain saying “digging holes” to sell a fight.

        shows the class from benn.

RJJ took many years to even visit Mcclellan, he was cautious the effect it would have on him as a fighter and a friend. Imagine actually the one in the ring with him that night and talking all those years later. hard to wrap ur head around

Did you see McClellan ball his fist up and the look he gave Benn? I looked like was about to hit him, but he didn't. It looks as if understood that it wasn't benns fault and was just an accident and it took him a lot of years to come to terms with it.

Not sure that footage should ever have seen the light of day. Tough to watch, can't begin to think how difficult it was for those involved.

Benn has lived with the guilt, that was hard to watch almost had me tearing up when Benn hid to cry, he was holding back tears holding geralds hand and couldnt take it. the man even blocked out his emotions for years, this is sad but also gerald has a loving family other family would just throw someone in a home God bless them for taking care of him 24 7

Terribly sad ending but what a fight these two served up. One of the best fights I've ever seen, or ever will see. It took its toll on Benn too.
