Jeez are there any sane people left who still support this cowardly hypejob? Shame on you if you still do.

Comments Thread For: Wilder: I'll Repeat, Only Way Joshua Fight Happens is 50-50 Split!

Joshua needs wilder to make the most money possible. The biggest pot of gold for this fight is in Las Vegas and Joshua needs to ride wilders bigger name in America for the pay day. 50-50 is more than reasonable for team wilder to demand. This is a fight that can’t be had in a stadium with a bunch of blokes paying a few pounds to get hammered and sing sweet Caroline. This fight needs Vegas and that means you cannot lowball the baddest man in the planet!

OK, enough about Joshua! It's all about Breazeale! You're not getting 50/50 from Joshua, and DAZN is not letting Joshua fight in a PPV on SHO/FOX!
Hopefully Ortiz can get a meaningful fight, and prove he's not done. I would suggest Ortiz vs. Kownacki, and the winner gets a title shot! Get the "mando" out the way, and then take a voluntary!
After that, let's see what Dillian Whyte or Fury is all about!

Try and take the emotion and preferences out of this and look at the relative negotiating strength of each party. What does each man bring to the table? What is each man risking? What are each sides alternatives if the fight isn't made and how much can they earn from them? How old is each man and how much longer can they be confident that they are in their prime? Etc etc. If you can answer these questions honestly without bluster or self deception you can determine if Wilder will get his 50/50.

If no assumption that Fury II happens, he's taking an enormous risk of ending up with no big-money fight, so best I can figure it is that there has to be some plan to get around the Showtime/ESPN conflict so that Fury II happens, which gives him time to punt Joshua down the road and meantime to stick to his hardest negotiation demand of 50/50 for now, then compromising later.

The fight won't happen then and Wilder is the one that will lose out the most. Joshua will likely knock out Miller and he won't look like a novice imitating a drunken octopus doing it which will further convince fans that he's the man in the division (if they didn't already know).
