If this fight actually happens I'm gonna bet on yarde. Odds should be favorable. I won't be surprised by either winning though. One of those fights where you truly have no clue what will happen. With Kov listening to his corner for the first time in yrs who knows what will happen.

Yarde can win if he can take a punch, which none of us know. If he can’t take a punch, it’s over. If he gasses out in the later rounds due to his David haye physique it’s over.Comment

The main worry for me is that Yarde still hasn’t fought a big puncher. He gets hit quite easily by the low KO % fighters he has already faced so I’d worry about him in with Kov.Comment

Would be absolutely shocked if Team Yarde take this fight, They have refused to fight domestic level opponents, never mind stepping up to elite level. (Big up if he does though)
There's murmurs over here in the U.K that Yarde can't a punch and that's why his team have avoided any and all British level rivals like the plague and when you combine that with his lack of amateur background and I think he's in for a world of hurt if they fight this year.
Shame really he's a great talent, but timing is everything in boxing and I just feel at this stage, Kov will be too seasoned, too smart and too ruthless for him.Comment

I like Yarde a lot, but I wouldn't put him in with Kovalev just yet. Put him in with Gatekeepers: Chilemba, Pascal, and one of those domestic-level people some of you talk about. Kovalev needs to do unifications and Yarde needs more experience in big fights. He will be a champion soon enough.Comment
