Finkel said he wanted Deontay to make two quick title defenses. Which he did. Before Klitschko fought Fury, Wilder had already made his two quick title defenses, and went public about wanting to fight the Klitschko/Fury winner in 2016.

Keep in mind Finkel was managing both Wilder and Klitschko. Finkel's dream was an undisputed fight in 2016 once Wilder's HBO contract expired. There really was never a time in 2015 where Klitschko vs. Wilder would have made sense. Klitschko still owed HBO a couple fights and Wilder needed more time to become a known commodity. Klitschko literally lost his titles the same year Wilder won his title. It's not like there was time to actually do the fight.

Exactly!! Why would he come out of retirement to help boost Wilder's popularity a little more. It doesn't make sense to me.

I think Wilder has to agree to a multi fight deal with DAZN. He can't just do a one off fight deal to my understanding.

Wilder wouldnt even fight Dillian Whyte, he will be facing guys that are controlled by Haymon or that can be robbed on the cards, thats it. Old Wlad would end the hype quickly.
