Harrison-Charlo, Hurd-Williams, possibly the winners of those two fights (though that fight could head to PPV), Dirrell-Benevidez, Plant-Lee, and possibly Santa Cruz-Russell Jr (though that likely heads to Showtime) have all been basically pencilled in on dates so far for the second half of the year.

And that's an incomplete list; Jermall Charlo has a date, Danny Garcia is likely fighting again, and there are tons of co-feature type fights (Easter-Barthelemy, return fights for Kownacki/Joyce/Browne/Barrios, step up fights for prospects, etc).

22 nights of fights, most of which featuring exciting and well-matched fights, available to the public for the cost of basic cable; 10 nights of fights from simply having a TV and an antenna.

More access to the sport for the masses than what's been seen since the fighting days of Ray "Boom Boom" Mancini.

      But whatever

I don't think there is an issue of star power potential as opposed to there being a shrinking of knowledge by promoters.

PPV undercards used to be stacked AF back in the day. Like for example the Garcia vs Spence ppv should have had a stacked undercard, so should the porter vs spence fight.

That way they can generate massive interest in Spence ppv. I'd say then after his third ppv fight, when he is already a household name ppv wise, they can start doing normal undercards with maybe one other very good fight on the undercard.

Eventually Spence would be able to carry a ppv on his own even against a good but hopeless opponent (Guerrero, Maidana, Ortiz type opponents).

Like for instance Spence vs Porter should have Charlo vs Harrison on the undercard. Then after that Spence vs Pac/Thurman should have Charlo (assuming Charlo beats Harrison) vs Hurd (assuming Hurd beats Jrock) on its undercard.

This serves two purposes, to generate interest in Spence ppv fights, and go give Charlo/Hurd exposure to the fans so that the winner of those bouts can also go on to carry their own ppv cards in future, having had exposure to the casual fans on the Spence undercards.

That's how you build ppv stars.

These greedy promoters got the formula all wrong.

Spence-Porter, Spence-Thurman/Pacquiao, and Spence-Danny for the WBC/WBA/IBF 147lb titles are all PPV fights that will top 250k PPV buys.

Wait for when the shows happen, and where the shows take place.

If Spence-Porter ends up at Barclays Center in August, with Thurman-Pacquiao in Las Vegas in July, you've got a ton of New York talent (either from New York, or just fighting there) available to fill in the show; Adam Kownacki, possibly Marcus Browne's mandatory shot at the WBC title, etc. They'll find good fights.

If you know that styles make fights then what on earth possessed you to think that Porter gives Spence trouble?

Wish all these guys just go to DAZN. The PPV ain't worth it. Whatever happened to free boxing? Top Rank and PBC both talked big game. Now the reality...

Brook had close fight with Spence, after his face was btoken and moved down 2 weight classes lol. Crawford vs Spence is all that should happen though...

Don’t be surprised if Spence-Porter sold less PPV than Spence-Garcia
