Sorry my brothers, but it's not a PPV event, because neither of you are Latino! Wilder vs. Joshua, Spence Jr. vs. Crawford, maybe Tank vs. Lomachenko, could pull off decent PPV numbers, without involving a Latino fighter! Without a Latino presence, it's probably going to do worse than Wilder vs. Fury! Just put it on FOX, and get it done before NFL starts! MAN UP!

It's the obvious course of action. After selling 300-400K against Garcia, a unification fight would obviously go to PPV as well. Plus Porter won't pose Spence too many problems as he's a basic face-first fighter. The Pacquiao and Thurman fights will continue their marinade.

The WW division has been boring AF. Snoozer decisions left and right.

Crawford vs. Spence or else who cares.

SPENCE VS PAC is 147lb PPV. PORTER can't sell out his high school gymnasium.

I'm guessing Al is advising Porter that now is a good time to start mentioning Spence's name as that fight is now worth the risk.
To me, Al knows he's done about all he could for Porter/Thurman/DSG. They are what they are at this point. From the start of the PBC, everyone knew Spence was his first homegrown potential superstar and Haymon knows he needs to get fights against the likes of Porter/Thurman/etc to reach that level. I'm sure he didn't like for two of his biggest stars in Mikey and Spence to fight each other when considering one was coming up weight classes but still let it happen because both fighters wanted it. If Porter loses to Spence or even gets dominated it doesn't really do much to him as he could just go get the DSG or Thurman rematches. But when Kenny said that comment about hearing the PPV did strong numbers and that's good for "us," it was clear what he was implying. That the risk of a potential beating was fully worth it with the type of payday they would be getting for that fight. They realize they are in store for a 5M+ payday and will take their chances in that fight.

Mikey Garcia by no means was ever told to chase the Spence fight. In fact, Haymon brushed him off the first time and then asked him the second time what his father and brother thought of the fight. If Porter or DSG badly wanted Spence, they would have got him. The company line is a lazy excuse IMO.
Yeah you are right there. It’s obvious none of the pbc welterweights wanted Spence but after his ppv was a success he became unavoidable

As he said, he became the money man. Not exactly true with Pacquiao still floating around, but everyone got his point. No more excuse that the risk is not worth it since you will be getting more money to face him than against DSG or Thurman or Broner or whoever minus possibly Pacquiao. And with Pacquiao's crazy guarantees, you very well may receive more money against Spence.

Guess Porter is ready to cash out and take his áśśwhooping, good cuz I’m sick of him being shameless about ducking Spence!

It’s gonna be a good action fight but I see it being ugly eventually as Porter will do whatever it takes to survive to the final bell!
