Not with his cardio. He has the stamina of a 50 year old, combined with massively overrated punching power, due mostly to using those tiny MMA gloves on the undersized midgets he fought for the majority of his career.

I think it's hard to say. Would LeBron James have been a titlist if he'd taken up boxing?

Neither did. LeBron pursued a career in basketball and McGregor became a plumber.

This is a good bet to be the most likely reason for this move.

I mean he was just talking about a fight during international fight week in July as late as a couple weeks back which allegedly didn't happen cuz McGregor wanted the main event spot vs the co-main spot he was going to be given by the UFC.

Whats the chances he suddenly decided to stop competing instead of this is just a pissing contest between McGregor & the UFC? I say not very good.

Please tell me you didsnt just reference mc gregor in the same light as hatton. Hatton was a formidable boxer mc gregor simply isnt a boxer, yes he should a few good shots in the floyd fight but his IQ and conditioning are miles behind any reasonably good boxer. There lots of mma fighters with better boxing skills than mc gregor

I read somewhere he makes more off the whiskey than he did for most of his MMA career. Probably set for life just off that whiskey money lol.

Wonder if it's a real announcement or not. I wouldn't be surprised, I think his motivation has gone a little. He's made a shit load of of money, and brings in good money from his whiskey and clothing company by all accounts.

I wouldn't be surprised one way or the other, he could really retire now, or just as easy announce another big fight. Guess we will see.

Well this can mean only one thing. He's decided to focus on his drinking and sniffing career, I had a feeling this mma rubbish was getting in the way of his partying career.

Good on the man, he will always be remembered for losing his last two fights and let's be real, twice to Nate. Great stuff.......
