I think one reason Spence wanted the Pac fight is too boost his popularity and build his brand.

Also I have a strange feeling that whoever wins the Spence-Crawford fight won't get all the credit they deserve. If Spence wins it'll be Crawford had a weak resume and if Crawford wins people will say Spence best win was Kell Brook. So maybe they both need a another signature before fighting one another. Which lies the problem.

When you let fights "marinate" you run the risk of losing and the fight not happening at all. Or if it does happen after a fighter loses then the fight generates close to the same amount it would have done if the fight had happened initially.

Plenty of finger pointing here. But it's a waste of time to blame the boxers themselves.

IF(really big IF) Canelo beats Jacobs, where else does he go for a big fight? Outside of GGG of course. Spence put 50K folks in Jerryworld. He and Canelo could potentially do double that. Spence is also consensus top 5 P4P now. Is that not enough to get consideration from Canelo???

Will be interesting to see the amount of buys TC/Khan do. If it does around 300k buys, then fair bet Spence/Crawford exceeds 500k buys. That makes the fight more likely. If the fight does less than 200k, then it will probably a bit longer until we see the fight.

Who doesn't want to fight Pac and make $50million or whatever? Porter, Thurman, Crawford can wait. Put some money in the bank, Spence. Then fight whoever and whenever.

Spence/Crawford will get made and it won't take as long as Mayweather/Pacquiao.

With all due respect to Spence, you're not Mayweather and Crawford is not Pacquiao.

The fans will not wait too long for this fight to marinate.

Gomez from gbp was saying recently that Canelo was going to fight Spence whenever it becomes viable. Everyone knows Spence would lose that fight at this point, but if he built himself up more by beating a bigger opponent from jmw then it would make the fight more interesting. It also would likely need to be a cw because Spence is no mw despite being taller than Canelo.

Spence is throwing the ball to his promoter. If he wants Crawford fight it will happen. But the thing is he doesn't want the fight...
