  • Comments Thread For: Hearn: Fury-Schwarz is Dreadful, Schwarz is Not Even Top 15!

As BoxingScene.com previously reported, Tyson Fury will return to the ring against German contender Tom Schwarz on June15, fighting for the first time in Las Vegas, Nevada. Fury, 27-0 with 1 drawn and 19 knockouts, still labels himself the "lineal champion" despite vacating in 2016 the several versions of the heavyweight world title he won against Wladimir Klitschko four years ago.

Boxrec has Schwarz #42 in the world. The WBO has him at #2. Says a lot about the WBO ratings.

The Wilder rematch would have been an intriguing good match up though.

I'll never understand it. How is it not a bigger deal what Fury is doing here, he should be boycotted the rest of his career

If Fury wasn't robbed he wouldn't be fighting this guy.

hes doing what wilder should have done. taken the money. sometimes you have to fight good fighters to get money which wlder didn't want to do and sometimes you get lucky and get to cherry pick like fury is doing. fury will make a lot more against schwarz than wilder vs breazele and if wilder wants to make that fury rematch since its his only option now that he ducked joshua he has to exceed furys current lofty purses. they played a game of musical chairs and wilder didn't get a chair

If the ref didn't literally coach him back on his feet he would still be fighting this guy.

i think he would. if he had gotten the decision that he deserved he probably still signs a big contract with someone. he might be fighting wilder in a rematch instead of this guy if wilder was willing to accept his terms but knowing wilder he wouldn't so fury would be building his star power against bums like this

If a fighter gets robbed when stepping up i can understand them being reluctant to do it again. People like Haymon/Wilder are terrible for the sport and the fans that back these clowns robbing fighters aren't boxing fans at all.
