Don't you think the popularity in the heavyweight division...

...in America hasn't really picked up yet,
and their promoters are not willing to admit it?
And the only reason why it's drawing attention is because
of the European component in it?

Man, come on, these heavyweight fights in the US
are no different from the lighter divisions.
There's very little interest in them.
    These are undercard fights!

Things will pick up in no time at all with AJ and the Gypsy King being Stateside. Also a few rumours of Dave Allen going over in the near future.

And I think Hearn made a huge mistake of negotiating too aggressively.
He started throwing these huge money offers around
when he could have started low.
Like $3 mil for the Whyte fight, then $5 mil for the AJ fight.
Why? Because that's what Deontay deserves.

How much do you think the Wilder/Breazeale fight was worth
if it was made before all these Joshua controversies started?

        Think about it!

Yes, this is why Uncle Bob is marinating Fury-Wilder II.

Casual US sports fans don't know any of the heavyweights YET.

Why fight for $10M when after proper promotion, you can fight for $50-100M?

The HW division is basically huge punching bag vs another huge punching bag.

When Finkel says he has to know what AJ is getting in relation to the offer made for Wilder, that's just prove my point.
The HW in America is so poorly received that people behind it have no clue how much the fighters are worth.
They knew in their minds they can't make much when left to their own devices.

Yeah, even the Fury/Wilder 2 (already with a UK component in it) is still not big enough and it needs time to marinate.
Which American hw would provide Wilder a big fight?
                    Nobody.
