Pacquiao isn't the biggest fan of the sport outside of his own fights, believe it or not. He didn't even know who GGG was a few years ago when he approached him in his gym.

Most likely he called Spence out after having never seen him fight, and then he may have actually sat down and watched his performance against Garcia and had second thoughts.

That says a lot. Manny wouldn't even mention Spence but he would put Thurman and Porter on his list of potential opponents. And people are okay with that decision even though Thurman and Porter are also considered two of the best at 147 just like Spence is.

A winnable list imo. It will be close with Floyd but who knows if his reflex and movement is still the same at his age. It could be jones vs tarver type of fight. Danny Garcia is too slow and wide, Porter former sparring partner so he knows what to expect, Keith Thurman coming off layoff and looked horrible. Pac will keep Spence and Crawford off that list tho. But...this is boxing. 1 shot can change everything.

It's clear Spence is having a hard time getting opponents at 147 to fight him. He needs to get Haymon to make the fight happen with Crawford if he's unable to get Porter to fight him. I believe Pac will go after Keith Thurman instead of Garcia and Porter.

Also Spence probably won't find any willing opponents until he moves up to 154 that's just the reality of it.

Crawford is with Bob it's not happening any time soon.

Pacman is a legend. He's earned his respect. He gave us the Cotto and Margarito fights back in the day when those guys were bigger and still dangerous. At 40, do we really expect him to willingly feed himself to Spence? We all know Spence will beat him with his size and skill. That's because we all recognize Errol Spence is THE MAN at 147 and there is no dispute about it. Come down a few pegs to Keith Thurman (the guy we know fears Spence terribly) and we have a fight that Pacman, even at 40, has a chance to win. Thurman would be the favorite since he's closer to his prime, but the size difference and punching power of Thurman won't be as pronounced. This would be a really fun fight as I think these two styles could produce an intriguing match up. It won't be a knock down drag out, but we can see two skilled craftsmen using a vast array of strategies and adjustments. Those are the kind of fights I can watch over and over again. Then you go to Porter and Danny and those fights are fights Manny has a serious chance to win. I think he matches up better with the less active Danny Garcia than an aggressive version of Shawn Porter but he has legitimate chances to win both.
