It's pretty simple. Joshua is worth more. And turning down this offer shows how fkn ****** Wilder is.

I agree 100% and I'll add this.
This DAZN deal is great for Wilder only if he thinks he's going to lose against Joshua in their first fight ($40 mil for each Joshua fight). BUT Wilder is banking on winning the first fight, so he could get a better deal for the rematch which would also be a bigger $ fight ($40 for the first fight and way more than $40 mil for the second). Also, it's not like Wilder will make chump change in the rematch if he loses the first fight anyway ($40 mil for the 1st and probably $20 mil for the 2nd).Comment

The man is a fool and his team are complete idiots.
Joshua is the man at heavyweight and wilders team have so much envy and jealousy that they are prepared to walk away from a mega bucks deal just because they cannot accept aj as the top dog.
Wilder and his team need to be body bagged and chucked in a ditch somewhere.
I hope breazeale knocks this **** and removes this **** stain and winkle from boxing.Comment

“We need to get back to working on making these fights,” Espinoza said. Deontay’s been getting into these discussions and they talk about four- or five-fight deals. When we made Mayweather-McGregor, UFC didn’t say, ‘Floyd has to sign with us for three fights,’ … and when we made the Fury fight, no one said, ‘Tyson Fury has to sign with PBC and Showtime for four fights to get it,’ but these are the conditions that are being placed on Wilder to get the Joshua fight or Fury rematch."
“Let’s get back to basics. Everyone took their shot at getting a multi-fight deal with Deontay. It did not work. So let’s work on what we should have been working on since day one, and that’s making the big fights.." -Espinoza (Showtime)
Well Said Mr. Espinoza!!! SALUTE!!!Comment

You're suggesting that the guy who is making tens of millions per fight after 20 some fights needs to take advice from the guy who is making 2 mill a fight after 40 fights.
Y'know, in case he is being mis-managed.
Possibly the ******est comment in the history of the internet.Comment

Also, if Wilder wins the first fight, the rematch will likely do huge numbers. So he'll probably get way more than $60 mil.
Once both these guys get their next fights out of the way, I'm sure both sides will come back to the table along with Showtime and then I hope it goes to the highest bidder.Comment

So basically they are only offering Wilder that kind of money ONLY if he signs a contract with DAZN or ESPN. They won't allow Wilder to fight Fury or AJ unless he agrees to sign on with their network for a multi fight deal. That's kind of $h*tty but it all depends on what Wilder wants to do. He better make sure whatever he does he follows the money.
All these networks obviously want to maximise their revenue, hence the multi fight deals. They don't want one fighter to lose and take all the chips to a rival. Seems pretty fair as a compromise because they're risking 100m whether he wins or loses.
If you were a network would you risk 100m and have no clauses to protect your investment?Comment
