If Wilder would have sign with DAZN that would have raised they're appeal in the U.S market and that's something that Joshua isnt doing alone...

So Haymon and Shelly is smart enough to figure out that DAZN needs them just as bad in the U.S market and want equal pay for it..

Wilder leverage is that he is a U.S citizen and hes going to use that to get thr 50/50 purse he so desire.

But Espinosa is right. Why do Wilder or anyone have to sign a long term deal instead of fight by fight deal..

Look I know some of you just want this fight and others just want to bash Wilder right now and rightfully so but it is ZERO Logic in some of these replies. So you the guy that is FIGHTING and taking the punches don't want to know where all the profit from the fight is going? Just Shut Up, sign the $40 Million Flat and don't worry about International Money and Markets that don't have DAZN just "Don't Worry About It" among so many other things?

That is like signing a Record Deal and just taking a Flat Fee and not worried about your Royalties, Publishing or anything "Hey You Got Your Money Don't Worry About The Other Stuff That Allows To You To Keep Making Money When You're Retired"

It Explains A LOT...particularly about this Forum either some guys on here are really young or it is some of the dumbest grown men in the world on this damn Forum

      I agree 100% and I'll add this.

This DAZN deal is great for Wilder only if he thinks he's going to lose against Joshua in their first fight ($40 mil for each Joshua fight). BUT Wilder is banking on winning the first fight, so he could get a better deal for the rematch which would also be a bigger $ fight ($40 for the first fight and way more than $40 mil for the second). Also, it's not like Wilder will make chump change in the rematch if he loses the first fight anyway ($40 mil for the 1st and probably $20 mil for the 2nd).

Ok best argument wilder would've got 20m for a breazeale fight that's more than wilder got vs fury so def should've taken the deal n I feel like if wilder is getting 40m for the first fight and 60 if won for the 2md fight it sounds like AJ was getting 60m for the first and probably 60 again for a 2nd fight so a 60/40 split then a 50/50 that honestly sounds like a great deal if I was wilder. If only boxing was like UFC with all the great fighters under one banner it'd be easier to make the fights fans want to see

Dang didn’t think about it like that I’m a wilder fan and was starting to think he was bs but looking at it like that hell I respect that. I mean because the aj wilder fight will blow numbers. Aj could be getting 80% to wilder flat fee of what 40mil they obviously know the fight will do big numbers. Well damn$$$$

It isn't about what AJs making. It's really about what Wilder is making with Showtime compared to what he could make with DAZN. If it is less than he's a fool. So many boxers outprice themselves or try to inflate their worth to only end up wishing they took a lucrative offer. Wilder is just another in a long line of boxers who look foolish.

It does if let’s say Joshua makes 80 to 100mil to wilder 40mil win lose or draw. Only thing that will get wilder to sign is %of the fight point blank.

I hope Joshua never fights that ****** piece of s**t Wilder. Joshua will be fine making $20-30 million a fight while Wilder makes at most $5 million a fight, which is good also, I’m not downplaying that money, it’s just clear as day Wilder is being greedy because he knows he’ll get KTFO.
U say that now but let the wilder aj or aj fury fight not happen. Dazn stock goes down losing money on aj for paying him so much to fight bums and of cours aj stock goes down. Look at the wembley deal. Ain’t no way in the hell they gonna sell out that stadium fighting miller and we all know that. That’s y it was moved
