What about MGM? I'm tempted to go, haven't seen a fight in DC proper since Camacho Junior fought there. Maryland was a while too, a local card at Rosecroft Raceway.

I can see Williams outboxing Hurd for a long stretch in this one. It might come down to Hurd needing a KO to win. I don't really like this fight for Hurd. Hopefully he pulls it off. I'll be rooting for him.

You and me both. I'm torn as I'm from Philadelphia-area and support those fighters but been living in the DMV for 20 years and love every about Hurd.

As for the fight, I agree it's very dangerous. J-Rock has skills and I can see him outboxing Hurd for good portions, Hurd needs to cut the ring and take the starch out of him. Helluva matchup tho.

Damn, I'm an idiot..thanks for pointing that out for me. I forget that's Oxon Hill right there. I like Eagle Bank but I imagine it may be a little bit of a hike for alot of the Maryland fans. I used to go to the Jimmy Lange fights over at Mason when he was fighting.

Hopefully it’ll be at the new arena in Washington, DC. It can fit about 6,000 when you turn the basketball floor into a ring.

Oxen Hill MGM. I’ll be there live for this one. Have a comp room already to be used...plus I really like the casino and atmosphere. Also easy access for I-95. If it happens to land at the Armory I’ll probably still go and stay at the MGM.
Has anybody else been there yet? It’s a good close arena, kinda hard to get schitty seats. I think it only seats about 5-6k max. I really wish they would get more action there. If you guys ever want an opportunity to meet fighters, it’s the easiest place to access them!

I agree. He’s not a large super welter, but he has had to fight some beasts as of the last few fights.
