Comments Thread For: Finkel: Joshua Fight Will Only Become Worth More for Wilder

The fighters are giving the power back to their managers/promoters which is not good. There are going to be fights that should have had,but didn't because of these managers getting in the way.The only reason Wilder and Joshua can play silly buggers is because the crop of threatening heavyweights is weak.Comment

I need to hear more from the fighters and less from everybody else! Shelley Finkle rarely talked to the media for YEARS
Wilder and AJ need to have a Man to Man... No Hearn! No Finkle!, No Haymon!
The fans want to see THEM FIGHT not Hearn vs Finkle
NOBODY spoke for Mayweather so if you're going to try a do the "I'm My Own Boss" things like Mayweather then start speaking for yourself like he did! In this Heavyweight Division you cannot afford to build up and Marinate because it is only a matter of time before both lose
Another thing Mayweather did during Negotiations, he put a gag order in place! Eddie does entirely too much talking publicly which is why things have been so difficultLast edited by sicko; 03-20-2019, 11:09 AM.Comment

Finkel is taking a risk by letting it marinate for further profit, and why is Wilder letting him do it?
I'm sure it was Wilder who was accusing Joshua's team of trying to wait until he was age-damaged; looks like it's his own management team that's risking this happening, and was doing so the whole time while throwing blame the other way.
I think Wilder is afraid of fighting AJ because he knows there is a strong chance of him ending up unconcious and twitching on the canvas, the way he likes to brag about leaving other men. The thought of that happening to him is too much for his immature, emotional, egotistical character to bear.
I believe that Haymon and Finkel are using Wilder's fear of getting KTFO by AJ to keep him tied to them.Comment

Everyone who knows business knows what this is.. 120 million for 3 fights.. 15m for Breazeale, 40m for AJ, and 65m for rematch. I WISH HE TOOK IT.. but, his perspective is, once ge dethrones AJ, if he gets past miller, it will be worth more than 65m.. not to mention the 50 to 60 million for the first azz whoopin.. AJ will retire before facing Wilder twice.. so u gotta get it all the first time! The End.Comment

Finkel and Haymon both don't want the Joshua fight and they've convinced Wilder not to take the DAZN deal. Wilder is getting played big time.Comment

Finkle is exactly right about that last part about implied ownership. Nailed it spot on. Hearn seems to think wilder should “yassa boss”, buck dance, and c**n every time Hearn twinkles his little silver bell. Hearn, and his nationalist sycophtic fans, believe wilder should just do as he is told by some foreigner talking down to him. Hearn may have all the privilege in the world in London, England but these American men of color are a bit more independent and proud than what we are used to in the uk. And I love that about the African people of descent in my adopted American home. I love their pride.Comment

That was my understanding of the deal as well. Bearing in mind Breazeale is a living, breathing heavy-bag, Wilder should beat him meaning the AJ fight's were as nailed on as they could be. DAZN just wanted the opportunity to showcase a Wilder KO win on their service to further build the unification of 2 KO artists.Comment

I can think of only one explanation for this irrational decision by Wilder and for the extreme hatred and anger he feels toward Eddie Hearn personally .. "That guy put me through hell!"
I think Wilder is afraid of fighting AJ because he knows there is a strong chance of him ending up unconcious and twitching on the canvas, the way he likes to brag about leaving other men. The thought of that happening to him is too much for his immature, emotional, egotistical character to bear.

You could be right about Wilder being terrified of receiving what he dishes out.
Wilder's team are making a big deal about fighting both Fury and Ortiz in the last few fights, but those fight's weren't what they seemed. Ortiz was at least 5 years past his prime - Hearn trialed him and he looked crap against Malik Scott and Dave Allen so he let him go. Your pic's define the reason he fought Fury; Wilder thought he would still be fat and out of shape, but the big man surprised most and turned in a performance almost as good as he did against Wlad. I reckon at least 95% of boxing fans believe Fury was robbed that night as well.Comment
