"but getting into the ring at 152 or 154 was a big difference for me to be agile and fast"
Apparently it had to be said. Shows up looking like one of the slowest fighter's I have ever seen and people wanna be impressed that spence ran around vs a punching bag. And still got countered plenty mind you, vs one of the slowest i've seen any fighter.Comment

I wouldn't pick him to beat any of the current titleholders. It became pointedly obvious that his skillset doesn't count for as much when he's on the wrong side of that kind of height and reach difference. I'd say he should go to 140 but even that isn't really his ideal weight imo, he could have remained at lightweight and had plenty of decent fights available.Comment

He can get a title at 147 if uncle Al feed him a zlacatin or a lipinets type of dude for a vacant belt.Four division world champion Mikey Garcia does not hide his displeasure over Saturday's loss to Errol Spence and acknowledges that he was far from having the performance he needed to achieve a fifth divisional title. However, he assured that he will try again in the future and considered it pertinent, for now, to lower his weight division.

Someone stiffer and more flatfooted than himself so he can outbox him. Mikey has the chin and balls to take WW punches...
At some point belts will be vacated...
So.yeah I can see that happening.Last edited by BillyBoxing; 03-20-2019, 06:57 AM.Comment

Easely?
Porter would just steamroll Mikey IMO
Mikey might get ktfo by a Danny Garcia left hook, yeah, I don't think he beat Danny.
He's totally outgunned there.
I don't even know if he beats the top 140 pounders Taylor, prograis...
Mikey is ruining his career if he sticks to fighting top.dudes at 147 just like Broner did.
He sounds as much as delusional as Broner post maidana.Comment

I agree skills can get you only so far before size kicks in. These guys are used to getting hit by guys bigger then them. Like an 8th grader fighting a high school senior. The welters are loaded with talented boxers that Mikey could fight. Mikey is a fundamentally sound and good technician in the ring and that will hold him in good stead, but he is not particularly fast or an elite athlete. Those are serious limitations to be the best of the best at that weight. He ain't no Manny Pacquiao. It is best that he drop down to 140.Comment

Its because hes the last big name who just made a big deal about becoming a multi division champion without beating a super champion in a higher weight class.
Am I wrong?
Did you watch Mikey at 147? No way in hell he beats anyone with a super title at that weight unless a title becomes vacant and some scrub wins it.
Like..*ahem*....cough cough, Lipinets at 140. Cough cough.Comment
