I believe Spence wanted to show that he could box in the fight against Mikey and that he wasn't a one dimensional fighter. Spence could have turned up the heat on Mikey if he wanted. If Spence had gone out there and blasted Mikey out in four rounds everyone would cry mismatch even louder. Also Mikey is no pushover he's got some resistance.

If Mikey had a hard time getting past Spence's reach, I don't know how Pacquiao with a shorter reach can have any success.

Spence showed a different level this past Saturday. If you think Pacquiao at 40 will win because he's beaten other big fighters before you haven't been paying attention.

In all honesty pac shouldn't fight Spence, he should wait on the Mayweather rematch or at the very least fight Thurman because Thurman can be suspect at times in a fight. Pac is too old for ESJ he got roughed up by Jeff Horn remember.

Pacquiao is better than Mikey but defensively because he depends on his speed he is more reckless and less disciplined defensively than Mikey. If they fight I am expecting the biggest and baddest commercial companies to bid strongly to have their company name on his arse. It will be money well spent
