Garcia did not "dare to b great"...he took a big payday and played defense instead of lettn his hands go. Was content to finish the fight and take a "L". Should have never called Spence out if he was not goin to actually try and win the fight any way possibe. Brook "dared to b great" against Ggg.....ditto Khan v Canelo.

Trouble with comparing Spence and Khan as opponents (vis-a-vis Garcia and Crawford) is that Spence doesn't have basic flaws in his game that an elite opponent can easily exploit, whereas Khan does.
Khan boxes pretty well, but he leaves openings in his defence at times that you can drive a truck through, and Spence doesn't do that. Garcia vs Khan ould have been a better look for Garcia as I'm pretty confident Garcia would have found the openings, and I'm pretty sure Crawford will too. If Crawwford can't crack Khan's leaky defence, then I would be shocked. And then there's that chin once you drive through the openings.......
Lets give Khan credit where its due as he showed he could stand and at-times outbox Canelo, but I suspect Canelo was just cruising a bit and knew that goodnight punch was there when he wanted it (indeed you could see him setting up for a couple of rounds). I expect the same from Crawford, let Khan pose for a couple of rounds, then close it out at a time of his choosing.
Fight I'd like to see is Garcia vs Postol at 140. Postol might be a gatekeeper by now after Crawford and Taylor, but it would be a chance for Garcia to re-establish his claim to P4P chops (or not, depending on how it went)

He's been knocked out 3 times in his career once on his feet, once at middleweight and never at welterweight. His chin is **** But it's extremely exaggerated because people hate him and he looks funny when he gets wobbled lol but look at zab though when he got.knocked down and got up.sleep walking on ******ed legs lambasting the ref that's the.funniest **** I've ever seen.
Also Bob is right about Khan vs Garcia, Khan would whoop mikey because he's too small simple as.
You sound angry and triggered by Khan so just thought I'd defend him
He got his ass beat by Diaz and Algerie. Lucky him he got a gift decision. Like I said he is a bum. What top ww wouldn't knock chin khan out?????
Crawford? Spence? Brook? Porter? Thurman? Danny? Ok then shut your mouth. Ugas would knock him out as well. Good for the boxing fans Crawford is going to beat the shyt out that bum. If you think otherwise put your money up!? If not be quiet

Why are we even having this discussion?? All are media hype bums, and Pac man is over the hill. B- hop is the only 40 and over champ, to maintain a belt. Broner looked bad, but pac man looked worse. Amir Khan is a hasbeen that should not even be boxing. He wasnt that good as a young fighter, let alone fight competively, today. They are searching for a marquee type fighter, to boost fan interest. I get it. There are none, currently. Time for some NEW talent!!!

Mikey pulled a Chavez Jr. Chavez did the same thing with Canelo came in with a game plan when it didn't work rather then take more chances to try and win because that could lead to getting knocked out...instead he quit went into survival mode. But arum is petty Joshua Clottey did the same thing with Pacquiao and many other top rank fighters and he didn't trash them for it.

Originally posted by SugarRaRobinson View PostCome on with this sorta talk. Loma/Bob avoided Mikey, wouldn’t even negotiate ANY timeline as to when the fight could happen. Bob saying things like “He’ll want too much money”.
As a result Mikey got tired of waiting around with no one notable to fight @ 135 or 140.
What Mikey should do now is go back down to 135 and whip Loma’s azz for forcing him into that Spence beating.
As soon as Bob and Loma saw that Mikey was serious about Spence, is the exact moment they verbally agreed to fight Mikey right after Pedraza.
If I was Mikey, Now’s the time to call these clowns bluff.
Let’s not start disseminating false narratives !
However, there has been no doubt or question in my mind, that Bob has been the one who has been pushing and beating the drums for this fight to happen for the last several months. At least ever since, Mikey left Top Rank and signed with the PBC and Al Haymon.
That fight with Loma and Garcia along with Crawford and Spence has always been on the top of Bob Arums's wish list. However, he says it's Al Haymon who prevents them from happening.
