It just doesn't work when your facing someone much larger who is a devastating body puncher as well as someone who is the most active welter on paper.
It was a big target practice. Mikey to me looked solid like a tank. Spence's punches didn't seem to bother him all that much initially. Spence looked amazing but a little featherfisted.

So basically you hate Floyd because he was a great boxer, and very smart? Floyd rarely fought guys coming off losses, he fought them when ranked very high and on a roll. Most bought his fights to hopefully see him lose. Floyd loved those fans just as much.

Btw, he was NOT a big welter. Average sized at 5'8". Also, Canelo offered to go down as far as 150 for the fight. He weighed 153 in his previous fight. They both agreed to 152. Again, it wasn't the size difference, it was a huge skill gap. Floyd was on another level, even at 36yrs old.

When did I say I hate fmj?(I am among the only fans on this site that seems to care about the truth above everything else even when my favorite fighters are at fault,so just because I call it how I see it doesn't mean I hate someone or don't recognize their greatness,if you reread my post youll notice I said "to make himself appear even greater")

And thats complete apologist bs excuses to say Canelo offered to go to 150,he fought tooth & nail not to have to go to 152 & only when fmj was willing to walk away did he accept. He made it CLEAR that he outgrew his ability to make 152.

Then after yrs of fmj grandstanding about "pacs cw wins dont count,he purposely drains his opponents with cw's,I want my opponents at their best weight, thats why pacs not a true champ like me,I wouldn't drain them to be disadvantage " he then at every opportunity bragged about how he intentionally weightbdrained Canelo so he wouldn't train & go to bed hungry & was taunting him with lobster & steak.

As far as you mentioning fmj slapping around Roidez & saying the weight played no role, you conveniently leave out that fmj made Marquez jump several divisions in weight with steep penalties if he missed weight, then fmj changed the contracted weight at the last minute despite nsac having made clear thats illegal as fck,but to top it off Mayweather still came in 2 lbs heavy anyways. So as much as I think fmj is an atg,& as much as I cant stand that pos marquez that win has an asterisc & I have plenty of Floyd's own words that say his win against canelo should have a double asterisc beside it.Granted of course fmj would destroy Marquez in any circumstances

The irony is that Spence himselfs resume isn't as good as Mikeys when how challenging the opponent was is considered let alone when the odds given by bookies are considered.

I am dying to find out who DOES have a great resume & who you consider better than Mikey?
My point is people like u are making out he was some legend of the sport moving up. Hes never beaten anyone, noone even knows if hes that good and by sounds of it he looked poor against lipinets. In his first step up against world class fighters he looked like crap, gtfoh making out it was some great win. Turns out he was another eye test hero who has been overhyped cause he had an 0.

yet your someone who has nothing negative to say about ggg/lomachenko & a million mental gymnastic filled excuses as to why. Mikey fighting someone far bigger than him in lipinets & destroying him makes him a bum,yes that must be why Arum is sending over a lucrative offer for loma to face him right.

Dude. Why you always lying. Exaggerating **** to the fullest to try and prove a point that's not even true.

              Destroyed him? Lmfao.

Lipinets isnt even a boxer ffs.

That's like giving Floyd credit for beating McGregor.

Apologies if I misconstrued the meaning behind your post. I figured you were just another Floyd hater since there are so many of them.

Yes, he has the Canelo catch-weight thing that makes him look a bit hypocritical, but it was Canelo that offered to make the cut. At 36 yrs old, with Canelo entering his prime, he was looking for a weight advantage since Canelo had an age and strength advantage.

And the JMM fight, if I remember right JMM called him out. He would have been in his rights to not take the fight, and in hindsight shouldn't have.

FMJ no doubt is as much legend as they come but just as every other great fighter in history just like Canelo is now,he has asteriscs in certain fights, but it doesn't change the fact that fmj took the Canelo fight & schooled Canelo(its a bit exagerrated how much imho) when he wouldn't have been faulted for not taking that fight after seeing what nelo did to trout right before at full jmw. Fmj can say he fought almost everyone in his era near his weight & Canelo can do the same in this era now,hes fought almost every name available(the biggest money fights Canelo has faced them just as fmj taught him the A side gets the advantages).

The torch doesn't always have to be passed by the younger fighter winning,Canelo learned more from that loss than from any win in his career.
