Dominating Broner is not a difficult thing to do and beating Easter and lipinets was good but not a mammoth task.

Personally I thought Spence would knock him out inside 7 rounds so I will definitely applaud Mikey’s toughness. He is fundamentally sound but no frills. This was a one sided Exhibition match
Agreed they did a great job of careful matchmaking for Garcia. I still don't understand what he thought he saw, but Spence was a former Olympian and a southpaw. Garcia has done permanent damage to his career. I hope he got paid well.

And yet everyone is just focusing on how brave he is. Being an elite fighter you need to show more than bravery. But since we all like Mikey we will set a lower bar for him. Imagine GGG moved up to LHW and be dominated like this - he'd be crucified. But with Mikey we are supposed to just pretend how positive we all are to Mikey and how he deserves all the credit for trying. What is he a 2-0 novice? At this level you are expected to deliver results, not attempts. He hasn't won a single round...wow. His stock should go down, Spence's stock shouldn't even go up. He barely broke the sweat there for god sake.
I agree with everything you are saying. I don't understand the moral victory thing. This is boxing aka the hurt sport. He was unusually disrespectful this time around. Ran his mouth the whole time. Now people should see how the mind works. You say something enough time...no matter how ridiculous....people will believe. He looked slow...out of shape and basic at 147. Mikey loses to ALL of the top ww guys. He can't get back to 135 and if he goes to 140 Regis Prograis will stop him. He needs to retire unless he plans on fighting bums for the rest of his career.

When he initaited attacks he had some minor success. A flurry in the 2nd round and a good finish to the 4th but that was about it.
He looked like he never filled out at the weight but just added 10 lbs of man boobs and spare tyre.
Disappointed he never burst a gut but I guess he's never going to change his methodical style.
Mikey knew better than to engage. He would've got stopped for certain had he let his hands go. I still don't understand. There are weight classes for a reason. He may have permanently damaged his career with this loss.

Mikey got his a$$ whipped. Didn't win a single round on any of the judges scorecard. He looked like an amateur and his career is done.

I know its a silly argument. There is no such thing as long as Spence can make 147 but the guy seem to genuinely hate Spence lol!

Sure. I get all that. But if his plan was to stand at or outside Spence's reach then mathematics alone states he can't win from there. I just felt he had to something other than that and he didn't, except for a flurry in the 2nd and a good finish to the 3rd or 4th round. I don't understand his thinking if he thought fighting at long range was going to cut it. I was sure Mikey would do ANYTHING but do that. I was completely fkn wrong.

I don't get this "moral victory" stuff either. Why would a victor who has a victory in traditional sense of this word, be a moral loser is beyond me. If Mikey wanted to see if he could outbox Spence for the first six rounds - that's fine, take your time and execute your game plan. But after 6th he knew where this was going. Are we supposed to give him credit for not allowing his brother to throw in a towel? If Mikey gave it a real push and got KO'd in 8th, people would see him going out like a true warrior. But he got completely dominated, was happy to last 12 rounds and he is supposed to claim a moral victory as well as the spot on P4P list?

I don't see him fighting Loma any time soon, he'll be hiding from him at 140. God help Mikey if Loma goes to 140, where would he go then? UFC?

They have weight classes, not height and reach classes.

Pac fought jeff Horn, a 5’9 Aussie fighter who recently just KO’d Mundine in round 1 at middleweight. Joshua Clottey, 5’8 who now fights at 160. Antonio Margarito 5’11, slightly bigger and taller than Spence, Oscar Dela hoya, who once held a title at 160 and even fought Bernard Hopkins. Do I need to go on? lol! Spence is a weight bully eh?lol. Sure he would move up to 154 and eventually 160 one day but he would be a small middleweight compared to the likes of Jermall Charlo, GGG, Jacobs and heck even Canelo and 154 fighters like Hurd and Jermell Charlo are slightly bigger than him lol!
                    There's no argument to make.

                    I'm simply stating facts.

Agreed maybe MAYBE a Kell Brook who won some rounds off ggg, but definitely not losing 12-0 and offering no offense whatsoever.
