So its about a couple of words? The whole big massive deal all fell apart and got nowhere, the fight never happened because of a couple of words.

Hearn said "We are very interested in the offer please send us the terms and conditions"

But Hearn should of said "We accept your offer please send us the terms and conditions"

Finkel pulled the plug on the fight and pulled the plug on his phone and computer. They claim they wanted to make this fight but they decided to scrap it all and forget it because of a slight difference in Eddie Hearns words.

And as you all like to point out, it was only the offer it wasnt binding in any way. So it really wasnt an actual ACQUIREMENT to have to actually HAVE TO use a specific set of words. But Finkel pulled the plug on everything because of it.

In no way was that 50 million offer for real. Where the money was coming from, if it was there at all, wasnt even the issue. The issue was Finkel refusing to show the terms of the deal and refusing to tell Hearn the terms and refusing to make any meetings to discuss the terms. You do that you are not trying to make a fight at all.

If Deontay Wilder turns down the DAZN deal, there's no excuses. He has zero chance of A. earning that money and B. making the biggest fights out there, if he stays with his current setup. No excuses this is put up or shut up time.

A year later, he’s getting offered $30m per fight. Let this reality sink in: Deontay Wilder is the biggest star in the biggest market in the world. And there is no way he takes a multi-fight contract that pays him a flat fee—no matter how much it is—for a fight that has the potential to earn him more.
The biggest star? Ehm, in what world?

Certainly not this one. His biggest event sold 250k homes and couldn’t fill a medium sized arena.

They are OVERPAYING Wilder, but he has idiot advisors that’ll make sure he leaves the sport broke. And on top of that he’s insanely unintelligent.

This is where John Skipper obviously went wrong in the negotiations. He didn't offer Wilder a guarantee or a split of the purse percentage. Which is why Team Wilder is walking.

He wanted Wilder to sign a Multi-fight double rematch clause flat-fee at $40mil each without a guarantee or a percentage of the purse split. He should have never tried to lock him into a long term multi-fight contractual deal.

These fights should be negotiated on a fight by fight basis. Wilder was never jumping ship to DAZN. He just wanted Anthony Joshua.
