In the history of boxing we have seen so many so called "BOOGIEMEN" but which one ever proved to be a "MONSTER" on the "ELITE" level???
What "BOOGYMAN" ever proved legit?

One of them is in your bottom photo Larry. I know you're talking more about guys like Lucas, Kovalev, GGG, Williams, Spence, guys like that. But George was seen as a monster. Just a giant dude murdering guys. People feared for Ali's health before they fought. He was the goods at the top level.Comment

I like how you included the word Elite. That means ggg fans can’t comment on this thread.lol. The answer is probably big George aka Georg Foreman. A man that was still knocking out elite fighters in his 40s. He was 45 when he knocked out and won the world championship from Michael Moorer. Tyson ducked him for a reasonComment

Nobody. Every fighter =bums. They all lost or should have lost or showed weakness. Nobody can ever be an elite monster, especially guys who lose at the end of their careers past their best.Comment

The correct answer to this thread is Mike Tyson. George Foreman is another good answer. Golovkin, as well of course (stay mad kiddos).
Mike McCallum is another great pick. Dude was a ****ing monster.

No one beats Tyson in his "brief" prime.
When asked if Tyson avoided him:Tyson was not afraid of anyone!
We all fought for the purses: but pride while in the ring. Gotta always get up and try to win.
A young Mike Tyson was terror; he’d been a Champ at anytime in Boxing History
"Do you regret not fighting Mike Tyson?"
No way!Comment

Mad for what ? You’re entitled to your opinion kid. He said elite level though GGG definitely shouldn’t be mentioned. Can’t think of anyone elite he knocked out.The correct answer to this thread is Mike Tyson. George Foreman is another good answer. Golovkin, as well of course (stay mad kiddos).

I'd almost say Floyd was a boogeyman of sorts.
Not in the conventional KO artist monster sense, but more in the "nobody could ever outbox the wizardly grandmaster of boxing" category. That's how I viewed him at least and he proved it legit.Comment
