Delusional, I don't even have him P4P top 10 and beating the much smaller man Garcia won't change that.

So if Mikey wins then he should be "considered" for P4P...If Mikey wins he should be considered p4p....if spence wins its just what everyone expected all along. It would be the equivalent of spence moving up to fight canelo....if he beat canelo, then hell yes youre p4p number 1. But if canelo stomps you, its because you moved up two weight classes and got overpowered. Which shouldn't have surprised anyone.
But if Spence was to beat Canelo then that "Definitely" makes him P4P #1,.....
How does that work,....??Comment

Okay, but what if Crolla shocks Loma? He takes the p4p. Oh shti, I'm wading into the imaginary p4p argument.Comment

P4P is hard to determine. According to the original conception, it's supposed to be based on pure skills, if the fighters were the same weight. I feel that's not enough. Some say it should be based on resume only. That's not enough either.
In this case, the fighters aren't the same weight, nor do they have a solid resume. Both criteria together is still problematic as well. P4P is a big piece of crap. These two ARE among the current best fighters, however.
Thanks for the reply, bro.Last edited by BoxingIsGreat; 03-14-2019, 01:11 PM.Comment

He beat a big WW in Kell Brook on his own turf to take the belt. That is a very good win on his resume, the rest is a average. I do agree it won't make him P4P number 1, but you can't discredit that Brook win.Wait - yet to have a signature, or even significant win in his own division...hasn't moved up and grabbed a scalp at 154, but claims that beating a natural lightweight who grabbed the lowest hanging fruit at 140 makes him PxP #1?
Beat Bud, or Thurman, and then you have a case. Until then it's all hypothetical.Comment
