M.Garcia Is A Real THREAT. Not A Catchweight Bout - Remember!

For those of you that don’t know, this is the essence of a perfect catchweight justification if everyone claims an unfair or unrealistic outting. You don’t make a match like this without playing with the odds and the history of our sport.

Same thing with GGG vs Brook. Brook originally wanted a catchweight of 157lbs

So many Spence Die Hards still claim that Mikey is a 135lb fighter... sigh

If this was TRULY the case, then why didn’t Spence concede to a catchweight?

If Spence is the bigger man regardless, and claims to be better than Mikey in all departments then how come Haymon couldn’t convince Errol to accept a catchweight?

Mikey has done everything in his career to merit a catch as did Pacquiao.

Canelo could’ve made a 160lb against Khan, but knew that was an unfair advantage to Khan.

Um. Maybe it's because Mikey never asked for a catchweight?

He asked for spence at 147. Spence didnt even care to fight Mikey until Mikey kept dropping his name. It's not like Spence even cared or believed this fight would happen.

He wanted Spence’s title at Welterweight because that was the toughest challenge to boost him to P4P placement. That doesn’t mean they wanted the limit. This isn’t new. Did BHop concede in giving Oscar a catch?

This is Spence’s biggest fight to date. Interesting huh?! A 140lb P4P fighter.

The point is that Spence chose this fight, he didn’t have to. And if he truly thought with his sit downs with Haymon that it’s one of the best matchups for PBC then he would’ve given Mikey a catchweight.

Spence is doing the same thing as GGG did to Brook. Didn’t Golovkin say Brook was a clown, initially asking for a catchweight!?

Spence is not doing the same thing GGG did to brook. This is far different.

It's more like GGG vs Vanes. A smaller guy moving up in weight for an opportunity. Why didnt GGG offer Vanes a catch weight? Answer is because he didnt need to.

Same **** as A side boxing. Why concede anything if you dont need to and or if the other side doesnt ask?

I have not seen one source where Mikey asked for a catch weight. Zero. So why would spence care to make things fair? This is an easy payday for him. Same as Vanes was an easy payday for GGG.

Am I saying Vanes and Mikey are the same caliber fighter? No. But in boxing size matters.

Mikey is a good boxer but possesses ZERO elite traits. He isnt fast. He isnt strong. He doesnt have angles. His chin is untested. Hes smaller.

It's like asking yourself, oh, this girl who is a 5 wants to suck my ****. And then in the same breathe going, nah, I dont want this 5 to suck my ****. I only want 10s.

There are no 10s in the room. There are no 10s that you know. So why not let the 5 suck your ****?

If anything, I'm more a Mikey fan than Spence, but you're looking too far into this. Spence dont care that mikey is a 140 guy. Hes still getting paid and hes still beating a p4p guy.

The 5 is still gonna suck your **** and there are 10s around the corner. Dont sell yourself short.

On the other hand. Mikey has built in excuses. The easiest and far better way to move up p4p would just be to beat Lomachenko who isnt even a 135lber.

Mikey has size on Lomachenko and many people have lomachenko p4p #1.

Moving up to fight spence, who isnt even p4p for most people, myself included, doesnt make sense. Yeah, "daring to be great" but completely unnecessary when the p4p #1 guy is in your division and Spence has beat who?

You lost me here. Brook was fighting at 147, active.

          Vanes was 154 inactive.

I was hesitant to continue reading what you wrote. I stopped here.

Garcia's balls are too big to fit in mexico so he has one ball in the USA and one in mexico, that's why. He doesn't need a catchweight, he'd rather die on the sword then win in a less honorable fashion (a CW is certainly within reason however)

Saying vanes is 154 is like saying Pacquiao is 147.

They fight in that class but they're not that size.

I'm not even sure what you're arguing at this point.

Spence has been pretty much inactive for like a year. Hes spent almost no time in the ring.

This makes no sense because Mikey, unlike Brook never asked for a catch weight. Mikey is trying to prove how good he is by beating Spence at Spence's natural weight and not at a drained weight. Why the hell would either Spence or GGG agree to defend their world titles at a catchweight anyway? They owe the challengers nothing but a fair fight at the standard weight limit. I do agree that Mikey is no longer a natural lightweight but more of of a small welterweight and was done with fighting at lightweight even if he never signed to fight Spence. Mikey weighed 149 on fight night for Easter so he was a huge lightweight. Mikey expects to weigh 155 on fight night for Spence so he will only be a few pounds lighter than Spence who weighed 156 on fight night for his last fight.

What are you taking about? Vanes is a full sized muscular 154 pound boxer who never fought at a weight below 154 in his career while Pacquiao weighs under 150 on fight night for his welterweight fights and started his career at 106 pounds.

I think Mikey explicitly said he did NOT want a catchweight because it would tarnish his victory
