Canelo moving up and battering the MW monster has to be up there.

Before Canelo, GGG had KO or KD 25 opponents, only for Canelo to fight him, push him back, and bust his face and body.

but other fights i thought were nice wins (not best of era of course, but still great wins) were rigo over donaire and garcia over khan and lucas because of where those favorites were at that time of the fight

It'd be enormous. Depending on what Spence does in the future, it would be a modern day, lesser version of Duran-Leonard.
I don't see it happening though.

Not really, its a very good win, but what has Spence done? He has fought one good opponent and only holds one belt. Spence's resume so far is pretty much garbage.

Best win of the modern era?

I don't know about all that, but I do agree with Tim Bradley that if Mikey wins he MUST be considered the current pound for pound best fighter in the world, easily.

Those were great upsets, but I'm referring to the magnitude of this fight being an upset in relation to, probably, the latest most significant upset at welterweight.

On a side note, the Marquez KO of Pacquiao is a great win, in an unexpected way, but Marquez had already proved he could compete with Pacquiao even at 147.

People thought Mosley was crazy in thinking he could beat Margarito, after Margarito had successfully beat down Cotto, who seemed to have surpassed Mosely at the time.

I see a similar level of shock from that fight, if Mikey pulls it off
