If he was impressed by Calzaghe's handspeed, Roy Jones' handspeed would've given him an erection. Combine that with the fact that Roy Jones was a lethal body puncher. Eubank would've been so concerned with protecting his body that he would've been easy pickings for Roy Jones Jr. I think Eubank goes the distance but loses on points, meaning he wouldn't have fought aggressive enough for Roy to stop him.
Nigelito, on the other hand, would've been a different story.

If Eubank got his jab working, and was in the shape he was in for the Wharton fight, it would of taken something special to beat him. He could of won fights with his jab alone.
Eubank could step into the jab and use it as an offensive weapon (leaping out of range as it landed - nobody was fast enough to catch him, but then again this is Jones), or he could double it into your face without stepping - he doubled it faster than I've seen anybody do it, watch the Wharton fight and you need to keep rewinding it and looking closely because his double-jab is that fast.

I remember once reading how Eubank would throw his right hand hundreds of times hoping it would land right, because if it lands the way he wants it land he has the ability to knock anyone out. If Jones built in early lead and Eubank felt a sense of urgency, there is certainly a possibility that Eubank would've went right hand happy and landed a Watson II-like overhand and it would've been night-night for Jones. I don't think he outboxes a prime Jones...I think the knockout would be the key.
As far as the Wharton fight, I didn't see it.
How good was Wharton anyway?

What would be the use of talking ****.
Of course if they were building up the fight he would talk about how he was going to beat Roy Jones and **** like that because the public doesn't want to hear, "He's just so good. I'm honored to be in the same ring as him. I'll try my best, but I think he's going to beat me."
