I don't care what these fighters make. Don't get me wrong, I'm all for a man making his money to take care of his family. But my top priority as a fan of boxing is to see the best fights. The paydays and politics are none of my concern.

I would rather see my favorite fighter take on a legit mandatory challenger in a fight where the outcome is anyone's guess. Not fight a bum to preserve a matchup against a fighter who Robs his opponents regularly for a living. Where's the fun in that?.. just my opinion.

I guess when you're a fan of a fighter, I don't want to see him make terrible business decisions and make $10 million when he could make $100 million.

And honestly I would probably feel that way about any fighter. These guys are not playing a game, this is life and death stuff. I too want to see the best fights, but those fights are usually what bring in the most money as well, so it all tends to work out.

For example I am not really a Floyd fan but if he can get big money every fight, God bless him. Did you heavily criticize him fighting Berto instead of Spence btw?

I don't think that Dervy fight would have happened on May 5th so it would have thrown a wrench in GGG's plans. And at 36 he didn't really have time to mess around. He made the right move - fight Vanes, then Canelo in September. If he fought Dervy it wouldn't have been in May and the 2nd Canelo fight and $30 million or so he got wouldn't have happened.

And I can guarantee if GGG smashed Dervy then people would just say - well he ******, GGG really didn't want (insert name here).

I guess the point is, if GGG has 6 fights with DAZN. Andrade Jacobs and Canelo are also with DAZN.

I mean you see where this is going right. All those guys are going to have to fight each other. DAZN is going to make sure it happens.

Besides 3/4 of GGG's last fights are with Canelo and Jacobs. Then a last minute replacement of Vanes who is a good fighter.

If people kill GGG for taking a tune up in June before a big pay day in September I also want them to kill Ward for taking 3 tune ups before a big pay day against Kovalev.

OK, not sure what he should've said but let's say he does fight a can next. You said canelo fought fielding because it was a quick turn around but ignore the fact that Canelo did that after a full year lay off.... Due to peds, but it was still a full yr layoff. Both Canelo and ggg fought twice in 2018. Once against a can and once against each other. Now ggg lost his last fight, don't most fighters usually take a lighter touch after a loss? So fielding was such a can he beat a guy to get his jr belt,the same jr belt the entire division could've taken if it was so easy. That. Replace Dervy with any other name and same would be true. No chance you would convince GGG's haters that the guy is legit and HOF. If not one of the ATG. GGG would’ve been undisputed Champion with all the belts. Canelo would’ve been forced to concede with 50/50.

In fact if GGG had all the belts after beating Saunders they could’ve stayed defending and toppling Hopkins’ record while making Canelo wait and still giving step asides to any mandatories, THEN fight Canelo. By that time HBO would’ve been gone and the networks would’ve been wanting GGG today, no different. DAZN was already in motion in Europe before it hit the USA.

Point is, GGG would’ve been A side king and making more than his choices of ditching BJS in Astana and then going to Canelo. GBP can’t be blamed for that. Loeffler and GGG are grown men.
