This did 1.3 million and is in everyone's house that has a working television in the USA on a Saturday.

If they want fans I don't know why they would put Porter who has a spoiling grinding kind of style, and a Cuban on primetime television. This fight had Showtime or FS1 all over it.
PBC has 12 dates (one a month if I recollect correctly) to fill on Fox. What 12 other fighters are bigger draws than Porter, who is signed to PBC?

The final numbers are out. The overnight rating was 1.3M dead last. The final numbers are 1.6M still dead last.

And for those saying these are comparable to UFC on FOX? That's a lie. In the 7 year history of UFC on FOX the lowest overnight rating they ever got was 1.5M. The lowest final numbers they ever got was 1.7M.

      http://mmapayout.com/2018/12/ufc-on-...s-256k-on-fs1/

And those numbers have a asterisk with them because UFC signed their new deal with ESPN early last year. FOX and UFC had a lame duck year where FOX knew they were leaving and drastically cut down the promotions for UFC as they played out the final dates left on their contract. So of course the last few UFC cards were their worst ratings. And still UFC's worst ratings are better then PBC's.

All but 2 cards in UFC's entire history on FOX did lower then 1.8M viewers. Only 5 cards in their entire history failed to do over 2M viewers. Again almost all of those lows only came after UFC signed with ESPN.

The numbers aren't so bad. Boxing content is cheap as hell compared to other sports; there are going to be dates where the cards aren't super interesting and/or up against another heavily watched sporting event (Lakers Celtics). This card fell into both categories and did a weaker number.... it's to be expected.

This simply isn't true. Primetime network TV you should roll out of bed and draw over 2M viewers. These cards should be doing a minimum 2M rating. The excuse oh the lakers and celtics were playing? The lakers have Lebron on a minutes restriction and half their team sitting out the game as they aren't even trying to make the playoffs anymore. PBC has not even cracked 2M viewers since they signed with FOX last year. This card drew 1.3 overnight /1.6M final, last card before that drew 1.26 overnight /1.376 final. You have fringe sports and reruns that are much cheaper drawing higher ratings then this. And FOX debuted with Charlos doing 1.6 overnight /1.9 final. Everyone said Charlo's aren't known the numbers aren't great but would go up. Instead Thurman a much bigger star did virtually the identical numbers to Charlo and the last 2 FOX cards since have dropped not gone up. Leo Santa Cruz didn't do well but Porter is one of the most well known fighters on the entire PBC roster.

Every week the FOX cards pull bad ratings the excuse is well there is other stuff on TV. Dec, Jan, Feb, March FOX has put on a card each of these months how many times we going to use this same excuse? This is the dead months in sports where you don't even have football and March Madness or the NBA playoffs haven't started yet. lol

Once again people playong armchair quarterback. Let me guess...they won’t get a deal with FOX because the numbers suck, right?

The finals numbers aren't so bad. Hopefully the fans watching these fighters want to tune in again and lead to growth.

Does not help when people flick through the channels and see loads of empty seats. Thats probably a huge reason for the low numbers imo
