At least a draw but a Majority Decision for Ugas with Cards of 114-114 and 115-113 for Ugas would have been the best call. I don't think it was a robbery but the judge scoring the last round for Porter is very shady. It was a close fight, you don't think it was a close fight?
It's crazy how commentary can sway people to see their bias.

I think HBO was the first to master this and as time went on it became almost disgusting how they’d try and influence the public’s opinion of the fight; which almost always worked
Now it seems every platform has followed this formula , Even Showtime who I thought always gave a neutral representation of the fight now not so much, Espn bias for their A-side makes HBO look unbiased and is so blatant it’s hard to listen too.
To properly score even a somewhat close fight you need to pay uninterrupted attention to the whole 3 minutes. Most people dont do this especially if watching with a Group. most will rely on the commentary to help them decide what’s happening and who’s winning the fight . But can’t be trusted if the Platform has a agenda to protect their A-side at all costs
making the house fighter look good is the Commentaries agenda it’s easy to do even if they’re losing. Never mention and ignore when the B-side lands anything of significance or just ignoring them all together when commenting on the fight . Over react and hype to what the A-side is doing/Saying punches land when they don’t.
Just Another in a long list of reasons how the sport does a disservice to its self and why its a niche sport.Comment

This is a great post because it is such an interesting point of discussion. Commentators really bring a tremendous amount of influence to a viewer's perspective in the same way a loud and hostile crowd will. When 'their' fighter does something positive, or supposedly positive, the commentator / crowd accentuates the moment by mentioning it or accentuating it by being louder.Everytime I go to watch parties almost always everyone is agreeing with what the commentators are saying and even with the unofficial score cards.
Promoters know this so they are able to rob fighters without much backlash.
Casuals are easily swayed but this site also proves that even the hardcore fans can be swayed. Maybe not as easily but still swayed to the point where "it was a close fight, it could have gone either way"
Even if you saw with your own eyes the other fighter clearly winning.
Meanwhile, any good work by 'the bad guy' goes unremarked and therefore far less noticed by viewers.
Max Kellerman is very sneaky and does this in every fight he is covering. Always has an agenda for one fighter and works his comments accordingly.
Best example of a crowd influencing a contest I think might have been Froch V Dirrell. It was a close fight but Dirrell probably doing the cleaner work (I'm a Froch fan but....). Dirrell had no fans there and Froch had thousands of noisy supporters.
Froch won on the cards but he would never have gotten the nod stateside. I know quite a few Brits who watch fights with the sound off, or they'll rewatch with no sound.Comment

Charlo was blatantly robbed vs Harrison.
Then the other Charlo clearly edged out Korobov in the next fight and everyone screamed robbery.
There is no parallel there with the fact that Ugas clearly beat Porter last night. It's just terrible judging, has nothing to do with the fighters or their race.Comment

I think you watched those fights in the wrong order. Tony Harrison was the one wearing the tiger print and snapping Charlo's head back all night with counters, and dancing around all of his swings. Korobov was the White Russian guy who made the other Charlo look like an emotional fool.Charlo was blatantly robbed vs Harrison.
