How close was Tyson to his prime when he fought Holyfield?

Physically, Tyson looked better than before going to prison. He was clearly bigger, heavier and stronger The only thing that could be argued was that he was not as quick.

How close do you think he was to his prime when he fought Holyfield?

Prime is both physical and mental.

Mentally he was sliding out of his prime ever since Cus died and Rooney left and King took over, let alone adding 3 years in prison for **** to that mix.

I felt he was off balance more than usual. Forcing his shots vs setting them up against Evander. Holyfield was always too durable and mentally strong for mike.

The Tyson that came out of prison wasn’t one tenth of prime Tyson. As mentioned, Tyson was partying and undoing himself long before Buster Douglas, much less Holyfield

he was four years from his prime and 8 years from his peak but he was still dangerous. holyfield was older and had some wars in the meantime so he deserves credit for winning anyway.

About 8 or 9 years from his prime. He peaked really early.
