You are not giving enough credit to Robert Diaz and Eric Gomez. Schaefer was the promoter, Oscar was the name, but Haymon/Diaz/Gomez were running his career along with obviously Finkel. Robert Diaz is one of the best in the game by far.

In other words, he made a fool out of Oscar which was the reason for those racists emails and Oscar's subsequently suing Al Haymon.
trust me....he didnt exploit Golden Boy....and it was schaeffer running that company at the time...oscar was running around doing god knows what....

schaeffer just understood that haymons model was the new age way and they had a very good working relationship.....if oscar had just kept his mouth shut his company would be more than canelo and a few prospects.....golden boy was thriving at the time...but he came in and stuck his nose in cause he could and it was his "company"...and got all pissy cause guys werent "signed" to contracts

the fighters prefer al haymons model....and he still has a talented roster...if you dont think wilder is thankful for the position hes in right now youre nuts(also nothing is official so dont underestimate al...he might pull something with wilder yet)

he did use oscars company most definitley....but it was a mutual relationship between him and schaeffer...it kept golden boy very relevant

And if Wilder goes to DAZN, what does GBP have to do with it? How exactly is he reuniting with them? He would be signing his own deal and his promoters/team will be putting on the shows. GBP wouldn't be involved here unless I am missing something?

Schaefer is a total snake, but I don't blame Haymon at all.

Why is Ryan Garcia mentioned in the same sentence as Canelo , Golovkin & Wilder
He doesn’t or will he ever accomplish anything to be mentioned with those 3.

Garcia is hype and unless treated with the softest kid gloves ever made won’t amount
            To sh.it

Would anyone think Garcia would stand a chance against any of the legit young guns ( Tank , Haney & Teofimo) around his age and weight . All 3 would beat the brakes off of Garcia , Body bag and toe tag him. He’s not the truth , He looks uncomfortable when he gets hit , Which in boxing is kind of a big deal especially when you move up

Haymon has always been an advisor/consultant. Technically Finkel has always been Wilder’s manager, and it was Finkel who wanted Wilder to join GBP. Haymon was at ends with Vernon Forest, it was Finkel and GBP that made Wilder. When did Haymon even come into the picture with Wilder?

Like all CEO’s of a Promotional Company, it’s tbeir job to run the show, not Oscar or Floyd. It was Schaefer and or Ellerbe running the Promotional Companies. It always the same fans blaming Floyd or Oscar, be it Canelo or Tank. Realistically or technically it should just be the CEO’s running it, but of course former professional fighters and now owners give influence to their next generation investments.

In the end, Finkel and DAZN strategies can be entirely separate to Haymon. The ironic thing is that Haymon cannot technically intervene with Wilder’s choices since its against the Ali Act. Haymon can not tell Wilder to say or beg for the sake of PBC. It’s rather interesting how the events have turned.

Wilder can make serious money with DAZN. It’s the inevitable path for Wilder.

                lol@"technically"

haymon has been successfully circumventing the ali act for some time now....haymon is still the most infulential man here....well him and espinoza...

espinoza and haymon are definitley at a disadvantage in this particular instance though

AJ is locked in and cant be signed....the goal with aj/wilder is to get both under control which guarantees someone 100 percent control of the show and guaranteed control of the winner.....haymon/espinoza simply cant do it....thats why people are offering wilder big money for an interim fight knowing they can make the overpay up on wilder/AJ

How is Espinoza influential here? Wilder has no contract to fight on Showtime, he can fight on any network he wants. I don't think any PBC fighters are exclusive to Showtime.

hes the president of showtime...which is part of cbs and still very much in the boxing market...

i know the pbc fighters arent exclusive to showtime....that doesnt mean espinoza cant do anything does it? i havent heard that wilder is officially on DAZN now have you?

DAZN is still in its relative infancy...it hasnt taken off yet...showtime/cbs brand is established

espinoza still has fight left in this fight until its offical.....and even if wilder does go to to DAZN does this mean espinoza and showtime are done in boxing?

                      What am I missing?

DAZN is in the business of producing contents for its subscribers. Any promotional outfit can join DAZN. DAZN is not GBP, or Matchroom, or WBSS, etc.

What is Wilder joining DAZN has to do with GBP?

Is Golovkin now with GBP as well? No.

                      ****** thread.
