PBC on Fox is cursed already , every card so far it has been an issue
Kinda Funny though how Spence Jr gets labeled a weight Bully but not Shawn Porter who fought at 165 in the Amatures! That is not good though, even if he does finally make it. Ugas is good enough to make him pay if he is drained!
I used to wonder about this too but until now Porter's shown no problem with making weight or even looking drained so it never was an issue
PBC behind the scenes. "Drop the belt so we can have somebody else fight for the vacant title. Then we'll feed that guy to Thurman or Spence." PBC Round robin for the next decade
The last time Shawn Porter entered the ring as a defending titlist, he conceded the crown 12 rounds later. In his first act as a defending two-time titlist, he is already on the clock to retain the belt without having yet entered the ring. Porter (29-2-1, 17KOs) checked in at 148.8 pounds ahead of his scheduled 12-round welterweight title defense versus Yordenis Ugas. A two-hour period will be granted to Porter to shed at least 1.8 pounds to get down to the 147-pound divisional limit for their planned PBC on Fox headliner Saturday evening at Dignity Health Sports Park in Carson, Calif. Porter started his career at a much higher weight before gradually coming down to Welter. Might be a thing where age is making it increasingly difficult to make 147. He doesn't have much fat and he's far too short to compete at 154 so he might be in a tough position going forward.

It's because Porter's 5'7 so he doesn't get as much Flack as Errol, who's pretty much 5'10 or just shy of it.
