Mayweather fought well until he was forty. Why can't GGG fight well until he is 39? Many consider him an undefeated fighter.

Boxers age at different rates, and not everyone is like Hopkins/Mayweather. Peak Golovkin has come and gone, probably a few years ago. IMO Peak Golovkin beats all the current crop, but current Golovkin will get beat by at least one of them now, and likely more. He's still probably top 5, but not top dog any more.

Im a huge fan obviously but look at his handspeed and his slow feet compared to a few years ago. Hes far slower and the snap has gone in the punches which youd expect at 37 with someone whos had a long amatuer career too. He was never exactly pacquiao speed but he was a lot quicker

Let’s be real boxing is a business. There’s enough fights and belts between Canelo, ggg, Andrade and Jacobs to last at least 2-3 years. It’s not even a question of ducking. He’s not getting a fight with any without signing for at least two fights. He finds himself in the same unfortunate position as Terrence Crawford with the pbc welterweights. If he wants the big fights he knows what he needs to do.
