Comments Thread For: Leonard: Fury Surprised The World, Wilder Rematch Must Happen

TYSON FURY and Deontay Wilder need to have a rematch, according to Sugar Ray Leonard. WBC heavyweight champion Wilder held onto his belt in a pulsating split-decision draw with the Gypsy King back in December. Fury, taking part in his first world title fight in over three years, defied the odds by outboxing Wilder for the majority of the bout.

Wilder didn't respond to fury text. Wilder opponents getting off the floor worried wilder. Wilder likes it when they stay down so they can't hurt him anymore

And Fury was quick to respond, tweeting: “Get your self a bit more well known in America first kid & then I’ll give you another chance!

“I already beat you & the world knows it & so do you - must be hard for you that a British fighters has taken over the USA - watch me whippppp #ONLYINAMERICA”
Fury is a vicious bastard when he wants to be LMAO

When Ray lost, he was sure to get that rematch ASAP and even when Duran wanted to wait, Ray made it happen by giving him a big share of the money. It is a bit naive for us fans to look at difficult negotiations like AJ/Wilder/Fury and say 'well just give the other guy more money this time, you'll make more in the future if you win'. But Ray is one boxer who had that attitude when it mattered and his legacy is so much stronger for it.

Ray pushed for the immediate rematch because he saw Duran partying it up after he won and getting fat. Duran drained himself to make weight for the rematch.

It was a smart move by Ray

At the very least the rematch must take place on neutral soil. No foreign heavyweight will get a fair go fighting an american for the rotten and corrupt WBC heavyweight title in america.

The fight went as expected and really wasn’t a suprise . Fury would out box Wilder and get a decision if he stayed on his feet with Wilders needing multiple KDs or KO to win

The oddsmakers basically had it a
Toss up before the fight so they knew it could go either way

Leonard’s right though there should have been a rematch to clear things up from the first fight , too bad Fury who seems to have already lost his confidence after the 12th rd KD didn’t have any interest in the possibility of getting his soul completely snatched out his chest in a rematch.

Everybody praising Fury for his twitter response get real , Wilder needs to build his profile in the States compared to fury ,
Really? . This is exactly why he didnt take the rematch though ; so he can say he won the first fight pretending the 9&12th didn’t happen and without the high probability of getting chin checked and left for dead in a rematch.

                    Fury got robbed?
Without the 2nd knockdown, he wins a decision; hardly a robbery.
Can you blame him for ducking a rematch.
That was Fury's karma for doping vs Wlad.
They will fight again & Wilder will knock him out cold.
