It’s not really witness protection when you’re basically 37 ( The oldest fighter right now whos able To compete against the best in their division) and you’ve been shafted 2 times for no other reason then the guy you’re fighting is able to generate more $ then you .Showing that the sport doesn’t even care about rewarding the fighter who did the most in the ring and only
About the $ even if that means rewarding a fighter who’s been busted taking PEDs with results that make the sport appear corrupt

And you’re probably contemplating either retirement from this sh.it show circus disguised as a sport or to take a huge pile of cash for a couple more fights when you’re on the decline, one of which will probably be against the same fighter that’s been proven you won’t be able beat on the scorecards no matter how many rounds you win and if a trilogy hapoens you’ll be fighting him in his prime while you’ll be years away from your best and stand a good chance of actually beating you this time out, not just having to rely on getting a gift on the cards.

Probably a tough choice between Retirement or take the cash when you’re at a age that your legacy will probably take a hit if you continue fighting and might take a couple L and probably lose to a guy who’s seems to be backed by the powers that be , never had 1 judge give him a unfavourable scorecard in his entire career making a W nearly impossible , a drug cheat and let him enhance his legacy off your name.

I imagine that’s a tough decision and one that would take some time.

Not really hiding out , just figuring the best career move

When you miss over 600 punches, forget how to throw body punches and combos kind of hard to score them the winner..

How to score a boxing match

Effective aggresion - Lands punches and avoids them.

Ring Generalship - Canelo made GGG Non MexiCAN Style

Defense - Missed 600+ punches, nobody damage or face damage

Clean Hard Punches - Canelo had many rounds where he landed close to 50% power punches. One went clubbing after the fight while the other one checked in to the hospital..

Damn even with a promise of a 3rd fight GGG don't want that work???

GGG has been negotiating with DAZN for MONTHS that would INCLUDE a rematch with Canelo, its been difficult to close the deal. Talks are moving along at its continued snail pace. Nothing is imminent. - Dan Rafeal

Canelo got GGG scared he gonna get hurt in a 3rd fight and will need more than bug eyed dark glases to cover that beating. Made the boogeyman run out the ring CRYING.

It's sad if they didnt rob GGG in the first fight and Canelo won the second or got a draw we would probably be seeing a trilogy already as GGG wouldn't feel like there is no way to beat Canelo by decision. Kinda like if Fury was given his hard fought win over Wilder the rematch clause would take effect due to a loss and we would see a rematch. It's either completely incompetent judging or the fact that the promoter pays the judges and they want to stay on the bankroll or be favorably viewed for future fights. The promoter doesn't care about anything but their fighter winning not the sport or the fans. The fans are too ****** and keep throwing their money at these corrupt promoters. Boxing needs to be mainstreamed into a real sport and promoters should work for the sport and get assigned fighters to promote. The money that judges get paid shouldnt be coming from any promoters. Likewise though GGG shouldn't of taken the second fight. He knew that he wasn't going to get a fair shake after the first fight and that Canelo popped just shows you the condition of the fight. He risked his legacy for money and paid for it dearly. It seems like legacy is really important to him so I don't know why he went through all that just for money. He could of fought a few more times and got respectable paydays without being cheated again. He screwed himself and has to be kicking himself. He already sold out might as well collect another big payday and go for broke he needs a knockout to win but it isn't likely to happen.

Im with Breadman and Dougie Fisch on saying Canelo hurts GGG in the 3rd fight!!! Especially if its in Sept. and GGG fights a bum for the tuneup or straight to Canelo.

GGG best real win is Jacobs and dragging Brook up to full 160. Hell his 3rd best win is LeSux or Geale who Cotto Slaughtered...

GGG aint getting into the Boxing HOFame unless he buys a ticket. Maybe in a few years he can go and take pictures of Canelos induction.

                  Cool story

But the fact is almost 90% thought he won the first fight and the other 10% thought it was a draw not one person who wasn’t biased thought Canelo won and in the rematch almost 70% thought Golovkin deserved the decision with another 20%!thinking it was a draw

So you can twist and flip it however you want but just be happy Canelo got another one of his undeserved Ws and let’s not pretend like he actually deserved either decision

Good post agree with a lot of what you wrote

It sucks that boxing is such a sh.it show that doesn’t even try and hide the fact that $ controls the outcome more often then not.

At best Canelo is 1-1 with Golovkin. If Canelo can prevail against Jacobs, maybe who is number 1 and who is number 2 can be determined in September.

I'm of like mind. While GGG and Canelo showed themselves to be equals when they fought, Father Time dictates GGG hasn't got any better since then, and likely deteriorated, so Canelo's assertion quite likely accurate.

Arguably Canelo still hasn't peaked. Only question is whether Jacobs still has it (and no real evidence that he hasn't). If he does, Canelo/Jacobs will be a good fight.
