Am sure Zurdo was shocked, if a fighter was vacating then they would be the first to come out and say it. Moreover that belt made him stay in the mix/relevant. Unless he was moving up and getting a straight shot at a belt why would be vacate. It’s just the usual Warren BS.

I think its pretty clear he cant make middleweight without that nasal spray or at least a fat burner, if you look at Kell Brook and Galahads last fights the whole Ingle gym is struggling since the failed test.

I actually think they didn’t even bothered doing that. They had to create a massive headline for BJS too. They couldn’t just have him turn up with Fury announcing his massive deal with ESPN. So they thought let’s announce he would move up and fight for the WBO title..... against some cab driver. Once the announcement was over they can pull any other move. Just like Zurdo coming out and saying he wasn’t vacated his title and now this. This stuff is normal with Warren/WBO shows.

I'm not sure about that. Remember, it was also reported that along with Fury, other fighters of Warren's stable will be making America their home as well, including BJS. This has to have been discussed with Arum/TR. But seems like Zurdo just wasn't willing to go along with it even with his plans to move up to 175.

I dont think some of you guys know the history of Frank warren. Please do a research about how Chisora/Wilder wasn't signed and he called a presser for it over here.

The Frank Warren switcharoo. He has been doing that for years. BJS already got the attention he wanted from that announcement. How a fighter like him was even going to get that chance at a different weight, without fighting there previously is shocking to even read.

The WBO has a rule where if a champ moves up, he can immediately challenge for that weight classes WBO title. It's a rule that I really like.

Thats the thing, he got stripped for testing dirty. And his opponent for the title Usufi? wasn't even ranked until that day.

No, I'm well aware of his history. But I do think here he legitimately thought BJS would be getting a shot at the vacant title. No one has better relationships with the WBO than Warren/Arum. The plan just backfired on fish eyes.

second part I didn't know. Every ranking seems to have one or two names that I'd never heard of mixed in there, I just assumed he was one of them. (example: just looked at heavyweight rankings for WBO. #7 Tyrone Spong #13 Ali Eren Demirezen and #14 Richard Lartey might as well be made up names)
