Lately Lara has been fighting the best. But in the past he has defended his title numerous times against guys who did not deserve a title shot so let's not pretend he always fights the best.

Exactly, they had no excuse not to fight Lara. He has headlined more shows than all of his opponents pre Jacobs and was in a ppv. His resume would look a lot better with Lara on it.
