Boxing needs more fighters like Lara

The guy calls out nothing but the best and wants to fight nothing but the best. He is always open to rematches.he hunts down the young guys whether they are bigger than him and younger than him he still fights these killers .his mindset is so confident he never questions his own abilities. Seeing him fight castano and Hurd made me happy that there are still fighters willing to put it on the line against the young stronger bigger guys. He was willing to fight his stablemates brother Jermell. Lara is the one who reached out to Hurd for unification Lara is the one who rached out to canelo for a fight . Lara is the one who reached out to castano to fight. If he were to retire he would deserve he was always the smaller guy in the ring. Lara dismantled trout like no one else did.Massivley underated guy.Never ducked anyone.

Truth. People can't use the "he runs doe" excuse now either. He stands and trades.

The one criticism you can level on him, is that he doesn't go for the finish and is content outbox to a UD.

He arguably hasn't lost and that he should have lost to Molina is bullshit.

    Lara is legit.

Lara is an idiot. Frolicking at 154. Who knows what fights he would’ve pushed for with mandos at 160. How long did he have the WBA Super for? How come he never exercised his title shot position with the WBA at 160?

      Waste of time

Until recently, Lara's fights were boring, but yes he should be respected for never avoiding top fighters.

For sure, dude fought P-Will, Canelo, Castano, Hurd, Trout, Vanes, Angulo etc. Definitely isn't scared of anyone and was one of the few asking for the GGG fade a few years back. You could knock his style all you want, but he's an honest fighter that wants to fight the best. And he would have probably fought Charlo by now if they weren't stablemates for a while.

Laras biggest enemy similar to rigo early career is there styles are not suited for casual viewers. They exhibit beautiful boxing skill yes people can say its boring to watch many said the same of recent mayweather but true boxing fans who appreciate skill over knockouts can understand the greatness of fighters like lara.

Unfortunately this makes/made them unattractive to promoters and at the same time making them known as high risk low reward fighters ducked etc. Only mayweather who dictated his own terms earned great money for himself (and opponents) & could regularly fight elite opponents whilst having a supposed "boring" style.

I agree. There are so many things that are wrong about the opening post lol. I dont agree with any of it.

First off, boring fighters like Lara need to call out everybody without turning down fights because he has no fan base. If he had the luxury, he would duck and dodge certain opponents just like many others do.

And no, he is not an exciting fighter. Just because he is older and not as mobile, he is forced to exchange more but that’s totally not by choice.

                Lara is boring as ***.

Yeah Lara is a real ****ing warrior in my opinion. He fights anyone..anywhere...anytime. guy would be undefeated if he was a cherry picker that's for sure, but he still hasn't lost a fight convincingly. No one really beat him clearly, Hurd fight was also very close.
