err... are you dumb or are you just reaching back so far you're licking your own boots??

hearn couldn't, and can't just randomly call up a stadium and have it booked within a 2 week period for a date within the premier league season.
they asked for a contract with a 2018 date for a fight thats next. hearn said cool. it would obviously take more than a couple weeks to get that location and date secured. the next fight for joshua had to be agreed for him not to lose his belt. if wilder had actually signed the contract and sent it back before the deadline, wilder v joshua would have happened by now.

Yes, the fight wasn't proposed to happen until 3/4 months after Wilder pretended to accept the terms and asked for a contract. But the contracts needed to be signed long before then, because the WBA had already ordered AJ to fight his mando with Povetkin, and they were breathing down Hearn's neck to get the unification deal closed immediately.

Finkel knew that so he deliberately sat on the contract and waited till time ran out. They never intended to fight AJ last year. It was a bluff carried out for PR purposes.

I have an alternative title for this thread. How about, "Wilder fanboy exposed as a babbling idiot"

They didn’t want to because they don’t want this fight. Povetkin already said it, the deal was already done. I have watched you trash GGG and his fans unfairly and mercilessly for years and you are doing the same thing to AJ and his fans. Your extreme bias in favor of black American boxers over great champions from other lands is obvious to me. AJ is a great champion and of course he has a huge group of fans and there is nothing wrong with his fans. I am an American boxing fan and a fan of AJ and not Wilder because I think AJ is the better fighter and the better champion. Look at the overall quality of the boxers Wilder has defended his title against and the quality of boxers AJ has defended his title against in about half as many pro fights. Except for his fights with Ortiz and Fury Wilder has been a cherry picking champion.
