Yea that'll give him a good entry level fight into the HW division!

I think that's what they're looking for. A guy who will be test, but not a threat! If not for that, the obvious choices would be Chisora, Povetkin, or Whyte!

On another note, have you seen Filip Hrgovic? I watched him put a beatdown on Mansour today. 6'6" 26 year old Croation fighter. 2016 Olympic Bronze Medalist. Needs seasoning, only 7 fights. Already WBC International Champion.

World is a bit less black and white, let me disappoint you. The choice should not be between the very best and a bum, there is a golden middle there as well. Usyk is one of the best boxers on the planet, I can't imagine he will test himself against somebody like Martin. This isn't a test and defeats the purpose of testing. What will he learn about himself by fighting Martin? There are talks about Povetkin, even though Povetkin is at the end of his career, he still offers solid pedigree, resume and has enough in the tank to cause problems for anyone. Chisora would be a better fight than Martin.

Couldn't tell you the last time we had a big time fight in Chicago. Probably Tunney-Dempsey II in 1927.

I favour usyk to actually stop povetkin

Povetkin is on the decline. Aj fight showed his punch resistance and stamina is declining to a point where i cant see an active , accurate, fast guy like usyk not buzzing him then stopping him

Well, we wouldn't be having this conversation if he was fighting Povetkin, but that looks like that isn't happening. Chisora would be a better option than Martin, if he wasn't KO'd by Whyte in late December. It probably won't be Martin, because he's kind of tied to PBC/SHO, but it will probably be someone of his caliber. Lastly, if they wanted a challenge, it should be Dillian Whyte. He doesn't have a dance partner, and he's already in the MatchRoom stable! They should just scrap the Chicago date, and have Whyte vs. Usyk in London! MAN UP!

It's a risky fight for Usyk if it happens. I hope he retires Povetkin for good

Usyk in Chicago might happen for me. Live in central IL, so it would be a bit of a road trip, but I am super game if they bring him up there.

As for who he should fight, that is like a aiming at a spinning dart board. Usyk has been attached to every HW for his first fight short of unretiring Big George Foreman.
