I think Jacobs is slowing down. I used to think Jacobs was a bad matchup for Canelo but I think Canelo is getting Jacobs at the right time. Canelo has to be himself, apply pressure, and back Jacobs up. Canelo’s punches are more crisp, and judges will be able to see his work clearer.

Canelo needs to close the distance and work the left hook to the body. Also try to lure Jacobs into the mid range and offer variety from there. He’ll also have to capitalize on any opportunity he has to counter. If he can slip or parry pass Jacobs jab he can find success. It’s a difficult fight to predict.

I feel like Jacobs has lost a half step as well, but he’s also seasoned into a really skilled veteran. He handles arias easy, but ran into a couple of hard fights against the 2 European fighters. SD isn’t too off in stature from canelo and he was able to create a lot of openings but Jacobs was a level above him. He’s more evenly matched facing a fellow elite champion.

And make sure that at least two envelopes are delivered before the fight.

If he stays on his feet for 12 rounds, it really doesn't matter what happens on the ring, he'll get the votes.

Have you seen his last fight? He looked pretty dreadful vs Derevyanchenko not being able to balloon to 180+ but getting limited to 170 per the rehydration clause Golden Boy put in the contract wont make him as resistant as he was vs GGG. It will probably still be a somewhat close fight but Canelo wins 100%, either by fair decision or controversial decision.

Envelopes has to be extra fat for the judges this time.

I think Jacobs is going to throw enough, but will slap too much while Canelo's punches are more effective.

By dragging Jacobs into a fight and counterpunching him head and body.

Nelo will have to get to close range, kinda like versus Lara... granted Jacobs game plan should be to outbox nelo. If he tries to outhustle nelo like GGG did he's taking heavy risks because his chin and inside D aren't great at all.

Jacobs is made of wood while nelo is made of iron.

Jacobs has been dropped X times while nelo never got dropped...

So Jacobs should stick and move, throws 500 hundred jabs...

The weight cap complicates things, but I think Jacobs is gonna be hell for Canelo if he turns up.
Canelo is abut too smoke Jacobs. People don't realize how good a counter puncher Canelo has become.

He'll eat Jacobs up all night. Jacobs will also be taken back by Canelos speed.

I think it's a bad matchup for Danny
