It's true he does adapt well and is hella skilled. But if I had to pick 2 things he struggled with it would be Lara's running and Golovkin's jab. DJ has top level footwork and jab, and has that fast right to stop Canelo taking too many risks. Not picking him to win but he can make it real close.
I wouldn't be that shocked if Jacobs moved, moved, jabbed, moved, moved, flurried, moved, jabbed etc. and won the early rounds. But Golovkin lost some rounds vs DJ because he stood his ground and tried to block the flurries with his gloves, and some of them got through/around. Canelo won't just block he'll counter and land something big in the 2nd half of the fight. Until that moment though Jacobs does really well.Comment

The fix is in.......Again
Canelo is right about one thing, Jacobs has NEVER fought anyone like him. When Jacobs steps in the ring he will be fighting a fighter who will have three judges and a referee whose sole purpose is to make sure Canelo wins. For Jacobs to even hope for a draw he'll need to beat Canelo every round from ring post to ring post. Canelo is the cash cow and the powers who control boxing won't allow Jacobs to interupt their money machine. If this goes to a decision Canelo wins and the power brokers will flood the boxing media with comments like"You have to BEAT the champion and Canelo's lack of aggression most of the rounds is actually effective defense. Canelo should have a least 3 more losses on his record and let's not forget the embarrassment he suffered against Mayweather yet received a majority loss!! Anyone see Canelo even win a round???? well he didn't have a problem singing with a guy 2 weight divisions below, why have an issue with a guy 2 divisions above? Plus I think Spence at 160 will be a nightmare for anyone, and his height and reach is on par with canelo as opposed to Mikey where Mikey is at a disadvantage in both height and reach... Id love to see itComment

I'm looking forward to this fight. I think Jacobs will be just as good if not better than he was in the Golovkin fight. Jacobs didn't look that good in his last 3 fights but 2 of his oponents were very capable fighters. I agree Canelo adjusts from fight to fight but I don't see him do it much within a fight.
I'm sure Jacobs has seen Canelo's style especially in his amateur days in New York. On the other hand, Canelo will be dealing with a tall rangy fighter who is about a good boxer as he is. The only issue with Jacobs is he has a tendency to make mistakes. Canelo rarely makes mistakes.Comment
