Comments Thread For: Whyte Aims To Become WBC Mandatory if Wilder Faces Breazeale

Heavyweight contender Dillian Whyte is hoping to become the next mandatory challenger to WBC world champion Deontay Wilder. Whyte is not looking for his own crack at gold after Wilder's planned rematch with Tyson Fury fell apart. The World Boxing Council had ordered Whyte to face Dominic Breazeale in a final eliminator for the WBC interim-title.

Lol this is ******, all he had to do was face the other cheater Ortiz and it would be Wilder-Whyte right now. He knew beating an inactive Lucas Browne wasn’t going to earn him a title shot. Whoever had him pull out of the Ortiz eliminator to fight Parker for 1M gave him bad advice. He pulled out of the IBF eliminator against Pulev also lol. Smh Shelly Finkel should be fired oh my mistake I forgot Hearn is in charge of Whyte. Is Whyte looking for the easiest path to a title shot?

They shouldn't let him get out of fighting Ortiz. Him and Joyce write big checks with their mouth but want to duck a 40 year old.

Breazeale is the manadtory if the Fury fight is cancelled. The WBC cant cancel its own mandated one and force another final elimination on Breazeale if that's mandated as well . Fury wasn't even the mandatory in a fight they replaced over Breazeale .

They basically don't want WBC to replace Breazeale with Ortiz

I mean they really have no case since they pulled out of Ortiz eliminator WBC did them a favor with this bs interim belt

Both could beat wilder but I think Whyte has the better chance to beat wilder than Breazeale does

Wilder will most likely fight Breazeale. Whyte should stay busy and the big fights will happen. Would love to see Whyte fight Ortiz, Rivas, Kownacki, or even Mike Hunter!

Unlikely the WBC would simply name Whyte the next mandatory. He'd have to fight a final eliminator. If he was serious about becoming WBC champion, he should have fought Ortiz last Summer like the WBC wanted. Wilder is likely fighting Breazeale in May and then Whyte would be owed a shot by May 2020. Which seems far away, but beating Parker accomplished absolutely nothing and now he'll still have to fight a final eliminator anyway.

Looking at the rankings it would probably still be Ortiz or Fury

He is a milker, like all the other UK heavy weights, looking for the easiest possible fights he can get away with.

Whyte vs AJ never happened because another devastating loss on his record would of meant he is back down to D grade level with David Price. Eddie would rather keep milking the gullible uk public
